  1. Hi charm, I wld start now lol living in or around Galveston would be ideal in spite of lol, did u apply to anywhere else? I recently heard back from sfa
  2. Thanks a trillion!! It would be greatly appreciated :)
  3. Wow! Thank u for clearing that up for me. I googled Texas tech housing and for some reason it directed me to tht website so I just assumed tht it was a new division of Texas tech. Lol I feel like a retard now lol... But unfortunately I'm back at square one as far as student housing for Texas tech students in Odessa is concerned...
  4. To those that have been accepted to the Odessa campus, apparently THIS fall is this locations first year having a nursing school at the Odessa aka utpb campus. I was browsing their website and ran into their admission criteria and noticed they had a few extra pre-reqs not listed on the original Texas tech website! Not only tht but the Odessa campus requires a B or above in all sciences and even math! Statistics is also required in ADDITION to college algebra and the nutrition must be taken at the Odessa campus as well as the statistics. Now I'm just really confused bcz I'm a transfer student so whomever accepted me seems to have overlooked my transcript or something! I just don't want to quit my job and relocate to odessa only to be told tht my acceptance was a mistake or something... So those tht have been accepted to Odessa were u aware of the info tht is on the link below?? Or would it not apply to us since we've already been accepted ? http://aa.utpb.edu/media/files/nursing/Admission%5FCriteria%5F12%2D17%2D12.pdf
  5. I def won't be deciding to stay lol
  6. Actually, I havnt tried to contact anyone in regards to why I got assigned to Odessa campus, now tht I think about it, I'm guessing I may have selected all the campuses as a destination on nursing cas I really cannot recall. I was able to finally find some student housing options and will probably be looking into that route bcz I cannot afford to pay tuition and rent a $900+ apt. I'm greatful to have been accepted to tech though...&& thanks a lot by the way! I hope to hear from my first choice as well,... Do u know if they have different standards of admission between the campuses? Like what determines where they place u if u choose more than one campus? Do u know anyone tht goes to tech Odessa? What do people have to say about the nursing school compared to other campuses if u do?
  7. Yes, I've accepted it...& after looking at the cost of living and overall student life in Odessa I'm wishing I had been accepted to Lubbock campus and am really hoping to hear back from my first choice school. I just don't see how one can afford to live in odessa as a student...
  8. Good luck and best wishes to those still waiting.
  9. Lollollol!!!!! I have NO nails left from excessive biting and fretting ! Lol
  10. Question to alll tht have been offered acceptance to utmb , once u accept the admission does utmb require u to pay a $100 placement fee or anything like tht to "secure ur spot" , the fee would be non refundable in the case u decide to later on down the line give up ur spot for another school of nursing. This happened to me at the institution I was offered acceptance and in the case I do hear from utmb *God willing* , then the $100 placement fee they required me to pay when I accepted their admission offer would go down the drain! So is this fee a common thing? Bcz I've me we heard of anything like this before...
  11. Ok this is my first time applying to and getting accepted into a nursing program and I am just curious if this $100 non refundable "placement fee" Texas tech requires us to pay after we accept their admission offer is a common thing? I mean I've been tryin to prolong paying it in case I hear back from utmb before the payments due date. Once I pay it and accept their admission offer,if I do opt to resign my spot at Texas tech then my $100 is gonna go down the drain. I'm curious to anyone tht has applied to other nursing school n been accepted do they require u to pay tht nonrefundable fee too?
  12. awww thanx a bunch hallie u rock!
  13. Congrats ladies,have y'all's mystar changed? Seems like they're accepting from highest stats on down lol hopefully there is room for those of us with less than 4.0's....& 3.9's...& 3.5's...& 3.0' on down to the 2.5's...lol I'm still keeping my toes crossed that's for sure! :)
  14. Whoaaa, ok I just reread my email and noticed that I actually got accepted to the ODESSA campus...now I'm wondering how because I only applied to Lubbock campus from my memory and I know absolutely nothing about the Odessa campus or what it looks like or anything! Maybe this is a mistake...I have to call them in the morning to see about this I mean do they just place yu anywhere they see fit or does it apply to which campus you specifically apply for? I'm so confused now... Now I hv to look into housing in Odessa n from what y'all are saying its even MORE expensive...idk
  15. yes i do! i just sent u a req && thnx!!
