Texas Tech Traditional BSN Fall 2015

Published

HELLO EVERYONE!

Is anyone applying to TTU Traditional BSN nursing program Fall of 2015?? I thought this would be a great place we could all come together and ask questions, answer questions, encourage each other, and stay up to date!!

Here are some questions to get going:

What campus are you applying to?

How many campuses can we apply to?

If you are applying for Fall 2015 have you completed all 57 credit hours?

Cumulative and science GPA? (If too personal, don't answer) :)

How many volunteer hours will you have?

Does anyone know about how many apply vs. get accepted?

Any tips, advice, or information you want to share with us scared future nurses?!

When is everyone scheduled to take the TEAS?

If you've taken the TEAS already, what did you think?!

**I want this to be a positive, helpful and encouraging thread for everyone!!**

I hope this thread will get something started!

I have a 3.8 gpa and made an 86 on the TEAS test. I interviewed last Thursday. The interviews are pretty short and simple. They will be interviewing 125 people and accepting 75. If you get an interview but don't qualify for the fall semester but are still a superb applicant they might offer you a spot to start in the spring. You could also be offered a spot at another campus. Admission decisions are suppose to be sent out by spring break.

Spring break is about threeweeks away. I'm a nervous wreck. Good luck everyone

Numbers sound spot on...for last Fall 2014 class we had over 800 applicants, interviewed less than 1/2 and admitted 157. By your stats I'd say you have a great chance at getting a spot for Fall 2015.

HI EVERYONEEEE I also interviewed last Thursday, and if I'm correct that was the last day for interviews at the Lubbock campus. I'm just hoping all the interviews for all 3 campuses are done because then that means admissions decisions should be sent out soon. I don't known if I'm nervous or excited. I know someone had one in Abilene two days ago but do yall know of any other interviews still going on? I know they have told everyone around spring break but I'm hoping they will send them out sooner. The wait after the interview is the absolute worst!

I also had an interview a few weeks ago. They told me that they were interviewing the month of February and that we would also hear back by spring break. Thats only 2 weeks away.

ttu1995: How did your interview go? I felt like mine only lasted about 10 minutes which makes me feel like its way too short. Also, I was super nervous and fumbling my words.

I did my interview via video conference and I was going over some sample interview questions I got from google the day before my interview! Type "nursing school interview questions flashcrd" on google and practice those questions!

Has anyone received an admission offer yet please? If we get accepted into the program, when will we graduate?

If you are starting in Fall 2015 you would graduate in April 2017

They actually just changed things. If you start in the fall you will graduate in December 2016. You'll be in nursing school for fall, spring, summer, and then fall.

If you start in the fall of 2015 you'll graduate in December of 2016. School semesters will be fall, spring, summer, fall.

So Lubbock is going to the accelerated timeframe. We hadn't heard that.

Yes I went to an application workshop in October and they talked about how they were changing a lot of things and that is one of them. Along with making the semester shorter which you had mentioned above. It wasn't really something they made well known though. I wouldn't have known if I wouldn't have gone to the application workshop.
