  1. So I wrote the question wrong. It wasn't a critical potassium. Obviously I would call on a critical potassium, I'm not sure why I used that word. It was a high potassium but it wasn't critical. I am tired, it has been a really long week.
  2. At what level do you call the doctor on a critical potassium? I had a doctor question me and order a stat ekg because I didn't call the doctor on a patients potassium that they replaced when it was on the high end of normal the previous day.
  3. Has anyone worked at either of the hospitals in Amarillo? I am moving there after I finish school but I am unable to find much on there graduate nurse programs or nursing in general.
  4. txagg I was thinking that might be the case but they said they should have the decisions out before spring break so they should notify everyone as soon as possible then they can let people on the wait list know if a spot becomes available later.
  5. I didn't know they were calling people to tell them they didn't get in. It doesn't sound like something they would do because then the applicant has the chance to ask a bunch of questions about why they didn't get in which I imagine they wouldn't really want to deal with.
  6. Why would they call just to say you didn't get in. That would suck.
  7. I'm pretty sure the people that had gotten called were people that put Lubbock as there first choice so that probably makes a difference. Since you put Abilene as your first choice then it would be Abilene's admission officers that are dealing with your application.
  8. I'm pretty sure all of the people that got calls had put more than one location on there application. So they were just calling to see which location they wanted so they could send an acceptance email for they're desired location. And they couldn't figure out everyone else until they had those responses. However I don't know why it's taking so long and I don't know why they didn't send all the official acceptance emails at the same time. I got called last week and got my acceptance email on Thursday. And they needed to know which campus I wanted to go to by last Wednesday so they should have the rest figured out by now.
  9. I know in my acceptance letter they said they had an extensive waiting list so maybe that's why you haven't gotten anything yet. I figure you should at least get an email one way or the other though. Have you checked Merlin?
  10. The lady that called me last week just called me back and said she made a mistake. I have a spot in Lubbock and Abilene and I can choose which one I want to go to.
  11. I've looked a little bit but haven't really spent much time looking yet.
  12. I am currently a Texas Tech student.
  13. I didn't have any healthcare experience however I had community service and leadership positions, but I guess maybe someone with more experience got in over me.
  14. I don't know if it applies to all locations but if you applied to the lubbock nursing school and didn't get an interview then you didn't get in.
  15. Yeah I'm happy I got in it just sucks to know I wasn't good enough to get into Lubbock. I'm going to go because I didn't apply to any other schools.
