I'm totally new to this and I am amazed at all the information this web site provides! Is anyone else on here going to be applying for the TTU Traditional Nursing Program for the Fall 2012 semester? Also, I need to take intro to nursing and pathophysiology this Spring. Is it best just to take it at Tech? Any input would be most helpful! :D

littlemissredraider btw, has anyone read the nursing manual? i read most of it the other day and wondered if everyone was life support, cpr, etc. trained? it said something about that in the manual as a requirement before starting classes. do you think they'll go over this in orientation or that i should knock it out now? i've taken a college first aid class with a section on cpr, its really easy, i just never got certified.

i also noticed that when i read the manual. i thought we would get more info when we got our formal offers. i took an emt-b class a few years ago and had my cpr card, but never got it renewed.

Hey LittleMissRedRaider & Mchicky24 I believe it is a BLS certification for health care providers- the certification lasts for two years and I paid twenty bucks to get mine. Mine will be up in january 2013 so I am just going to get it renewed over xmas break. I am sure they will go over this at orientation and is def nothing to worry about. The CPR class is just a one day thing and you take the test that day-- no biggie. lol I see no problem with knocking out the CPR requirement whenever you can because it is a requirement for nursing school. However, I recommend calling first to confirm that they do want a BLS certification for health care providers. Also, I know we will have to be up to date on our shots and they will def want you t have your hep B shots. You guys most likey have all of these vaccinations-- it'll just be getting all the paper work together that will be a bit of a drag.

Also, to anyone else that has not received their official offer I talked to the advisers and they said they are hoping to have all the formal offers out by the end of this week or sometime during next week.. So don't worry! :) Also, I believe at orientation they prepare a slide show in regards to student loans, FASA, and scholarships (because I found the slideshow from last year). YAY!! This is so exciting!!

I'm also really excited! I think we have to wait until orientation to buy scrubs, because I think the students wear red scrubs with their name inscribed? I'm not positive about that though.

I just wanted to know if anyone knows when we sign up for our fall classes and how do we know which ones to register for? I know they will probably discuss this during orientation, however in El Paso where I will be going orientation is not until August 16th when school is scheduled to start on the 22nd?

@haboubkar Mine was just in Merlin too. Did you receive an email or anything? Because I didn't, I just checked a couple of days ago and it was there for me to accept and pay the $100.

I got my offer yest on merlin only. I officially accepted it this morning!! WOOO HOOO!! I still have not gotten an email though... Everyone be sure to check your merlin account!! does anyone know the exact date of orientation? I may just email the adivsers and ask :o
