I am in the process and would love to know if you have any suggestions about how to approach the essay and resume portions of the application. I am a BSN-RN. My ADN GPA: 3.85 and my RN-BSN GPA: 4.0. I have been an RN for 5 years. I worked on a Med-Surg unit for 1 year, OR for 3 years, Medical Device QA for 11 mos. and currently work in Mental Health Outpatient Clinics full-time. I have always wanted to specialize in a Psych and just started in the BH clinics. I absolutely love it and have found my niche for sure. Hoping and praying that TTUHSC might consider me for PMHNP.
Hi y’all! I know it is still considered early, but just curious to know if anyone has heard anything from admissions staff, timeline specific info, anything about interviews etc?
I heard back early yesterday morning, I was selected for an interview, they have three time slots. Tomorrow the next day and Monday. Does anyone know about this process? I didn't realize they conducted interviews.
They sent an email that said "congrats you have been selected for an interview regarding your admission to the PMHNP program. Please follow the the link to sign up for an interview time..." (i abbreviated some words, but that is what it said along with other random info about the interviews). They will be 10-15 min long video meetings using zoom. As I mentioned before once I went to sign up there were three time slots, Thursday, Friday, and Monday (I said tomorrow on accident before).
Maybe no email is better than rejection email. They could be waiting to see if every one signs up or accepts before moving on to other close candidates. This has happened to me before when wait listed. Good luck!
