I know applications are just going out but I thought I would start a thread so that anyone applying to Texas State this semester can share their stats/questions/comments
Im currently sitting at a:
Prerequisite: 3.55
Science: 3.39
Teas: 93 composite & 99th percentile
What about you guys?
The professors that is apart of the admissions committee said that if you were a TXST student and met the requirements you are almost guaranteed entrance. This will probably change once more people start to apply. This professor did mention that there has been a decline in applications over the years and they are trying to understand why, so If y'all come across any hurdles once you get accepted please pass the information along and I will let her know to help them in the future. Good luck to everyone tomorrow. I know exactly how anxious yall feel. Just remember getting into nursing school is the easy part compared to what you are about to endure. So stay on your deadlines and make sure you are prepared for this upcoming fall!! You will all do great!

Thank you for the feedback! I definitely have thought recently about how once I find out that I am in somewhere that I will almost immediately shift to the part where I then become totally scared of what is to come. Lol. But I will be excited nonetheless...:). Unfortunately I am a transfer , but I heard the same thing about UT because I was a former student there. I was advised by a professor that it would be much easier to do an internal transfer than be one of those trying to get in. Unfortunately, their program is set up so much different that it would take me longer and I wouldn't be able to utilize all of these core classes I took as a Philosophy major when I was there. But if not Texas State...I will become an RN from somewhere. I am determined! Either way I might see you all on the flipside of things :). Of course, I am really hoping to get in. It has been my number one vision since returning to school.
I'm not discouraging you at all. I'm sorry if it came off that way! I was a transfer into txst and so many more were as well... if you have the GPA and TEAS scores you'll be fine. Especially, if the turnout of applications is low
No worries!! I didn't take it negatively. Obviously we will know tomorrow either way! You know how it is Tue night before! Just turned in my application for Concordia as my backup like ten minutes ago. I am just a nervous wreck and sharing my story because early bedtime is not an option tonight. :). I really do appreciate all of the input from a veteran though! Hoping I see you around campus this fall of course
