Hello All
Applied to Texas State, UTA, MSU and thinking of applying to Texas Tech as well. I've noticed the program credit hours vary from 40-49 hours and not sure which program has the best reputation for preparing you for a career as a clinician. It's appealing to get it done but I want to be safe and well prepared as an NP. Of course cost and how much on campus time required are two things I am looking at as well. I work M-F in an outpatient Psychiatric health clinic as an RN.
Any feedback about experience with school and fulltime job would be great. What should I look for in a good PMHNP online program? Also, please PM me if you have specific information or experience regarding the programs I listed above. Really appreciate your help!

Hi LinhNguyen, how long did it take before you heard you were accepted? I just applied as well. Thanks
I have a question for those who have received an acceptance letter for the Texas State PMHNP Fall 2019 start. Did they give you an orientation date? If so, any details would be appreciated. My application will not be submitted for another day or two (waiting on one of my recommenders?). I would really love to get accepted. Praying....

Congratulations LinhNguyen! I am sorry I can’t offer leads on preceptors at this point because I’m still in the application process. May I ask something in regards to the essay and goals for Texas State’s application? I am typing directly into the form they provided on their application page but I’m not sure how many words maximum is allowed. It says three pages so depending on formatting that could vary greatly. Are they expecting APA format? If so that is double spaced three pages which seems a bit short. Thanks in advance for any advice.
