Congratulations Jezziemis!
On a side note, does anyone know if UTMB considers pluses and minuses when determining your GPA?
I am hoping they do not b/c it will lower my GPA. I've done all my prereqs at UH and they use the +/- system while several other Texas universities do not. I hope UTMB's SON has a standardized procedure when calculating GPA's from different colleges and universities. It's only fair that way. I know for a fact that their medical school does not use the +/- system.

would they send out letters to people who they havent recieved a final transcript from? on my status is still says "transcript is incomplete" because i was still going to school, but i got my transcript sent over there
I got accepted, and my online status still says "transcript is imcomplete" as well. Now when they made their decision they saw that I had only 2 classes left on the prereqs and that I was taking them this spring and I didnt have anymore classes in the summer. Im not sure if this factors in heavily or not.
As for the GPA +- thing. I am pretty sure they don't. I spoke with the preadmissions advisor way back when and she said they don't. She also said they take the highest grade you received in a class, meaning they replace grades and don't average them (which is a good thing for many people). But if you think about it, it would be unfair to use +/- on people from say UofH when not many schools use that system. I would think to be fair, an A is a 4.0, a B is a 3.0 and so on.
ok thats the same case for me, i was taking the classes that i still needed this semester.
No letter today, we shall wait till tomorrow and hopefully the mailman will be my best friend :)

I found out some good news for students starting UTMB SON this Fall!!! If you don't already have your CNA cert., don't worry about it. I talked to the nursing dept. this morning and they said they are offering the CNA cert during the fall semester. That's great news for people like me, I was going to have to pay like $500 for a CNA class ( for 1 month, everyday, 4 hours). I don't know about you, but I have better things to do with my time and money!!!!
How long did yall wait until u got a letter from UTMB. Im talking about to know ur status and if they got all the transcripts and stuff.
I think my letter showed up not even a week later after i submitted everything. They give you the P# so you can check everything online
To those of you in the Houston area... go check your mail boxes. I got my letter and packet in the mail today!!!!
