    Hey Ben Franklin!
Are you interviewing for the BACC2 program? I am part of the class that graduates this May and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me! We will all be off campus that day doing our Community Health clincal so, unless you are on campus around 3pm, we wont have the opportunity to talk to all those interviewing. By the way, there is only one round of interviewing that you go through for the accelerated program, so you have only 1 chance to make that good impression. They will be taking 40 students this May, which is double the amount of people they chose last year. This means that they will be bringing in 20 less students into the 2 year class. They recieved about 500 applications to the accelerated program and they are only interviewing 120 people for the 40 spots, so you have come a long way already! Having a backup plan is a terrific idea, but even if you recieve a rejection letter, continue with your pre-req classes because there were people who were accepted after recieving rejection letters. Anyways, I hope all this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
    Good luck!

Hey there, does anyone have any idea how many people were asked to interview for the generic BSN? Or how many applied to the generic BSN? Just curious.

The woman I interviewed with told me that over 1,000 were well qualified and they were interviewing 450 of the best out of those! :uhoh21:

Sheesh! Well, even if I don't get it, I guess I should feel a sense of accomplishment for making it this far.

What have you liked best about nursing school so far? What have you not liked so much? Any general advice for those of us following in your footsteps?

What I've liked best about nursing school so far is the fact that I am successfully learning all this infromation in only a year. I am proud of myself for how well I am doing in this program, despite its fast pace. What I dont like about nursig school is the fact that I am poor at the moment (lol!) but I am looking foward to the future of making goood money as a nurse. Advice for you guys coming in is to make sure you WORK TOGETHER! As far as splitting objectives (the study guides for each test) amongst each other and sharing any information with each other has really helped us as a group. Remember to stay calm and have flexibility because things dont always go as planned in this program. You need to be okay with getting a B, and make the best of every situation and every opportunity to learn. This is such a fast paced program that you sometimes feel as if you are just studying to pass each test and you are not really retaining the material. I would suggest keeping each study guide and going over the material periodically throughout the year.

Well, I would write more but I have to study for a huge test tomorrow. Those of you who make it will have plenty of time to meet with us and get all the advice and buy our books But if you have any burning questions, feel free to ask! What time is your interview? Like I said, we will not be on campus from 9 till about 3 at the latest, but if your interview starts later, than I will surely come back to the school and talk to you guys.

    Hey all,
I also got an interview letter today. Mine is on the 15th at 2 PM. According to the letter, there will be an actual interview. I know some people had mentioned that UT had done away with the interview in the past few years, but apparently things are going to be different.

Kim- to answer your question, the NET wasn't so bad. The math was very basic fraction, decimal, percentage conversions and whatnot. Science reading comprehension wasn't bad either. THe test-taking skills was a load of crap. The stress profile was very straightforward. The part that blindsided me was the science section. It was 15 of the most random, detailed questions ever. Sure, I knew a few off the top of my head-- but the rest I wasn't so sure about.

I'm looking forward to the interview. What to wear?!?! Eeep!
I took the NET and agree with your description of it. I was disappointed in my scores; however, it seems I'm in a high percentile, so I won't complain. I had my interview today. Now the wait begins. Last I heard, there will be a mailing in April. Good luck everyone!

Well, I finished the interview and it went well. I was told a decision would be made in 2-4 weeks. Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know which sections of the NET test UT looks for? (just wondering since TWU looks for science reading only)
