I read the news talking about nurses being laid off in some parts of the country.DWF RNs, can you feel the impact of economic recession in your hospials?
Ken...you keep starting threads about DFW/Texas. Are you just trying to stir the pot, or are you really going to move here? :wink2: Just do it already!
i do understand, and i don't mean to offend, but you posted this same question on 12-16-08 (see below). and that's not the first thread you've started about nursing in the dallas/dfw area. sometimes (from this perspective) it's frustrating to see the same things posted again and again.
to answer your questions...a few hospitals have had some lay-offs, but they've been small & did not involve direct-care, bedside nurses (to my knowledge). i still see positions available all over dfw in every sunday paper. otherwise, the national news has reported that our area has, so far, fared pretty well in the recession.
