Hello!
I was recently accepted into Texas Lutheran University's Fall '25 Direct Entry MSN program (NB Campus).
Are there any applicants on here who have been accepted for the Fall '25 start date? I would love to meet fellow applicants!
or
If there are any current or recent students that wouldn't mind sharing their experiences, pros/cons, scheduling, etc. as well that would be greatly appreciated.
Hopefully I can meet fellow future students on here 🙂
Thanks!
Hi!!
Super late to this thread, but I'm also in the Fall 25 NB cohort cycle!
Just finishing up my last few pre-reqs, and trying to find a place to live and figure out the budget. We'll get to meet on orientation! Would love any tips or recommendations that you guys have so far, or found.

Hey! Congrats on being accepted! There are so many apartments, single family homes, and (I THINK) a set of town homes all within a 2-3 min drive to Resolute Baptist Health. If you have kids, there are 3 (that I know of) daycare centers within a 2-3 drive of the hospital as well. I took out the max on my GradPlus loans in addition to the regular amount from Financial aid, that was enough to cover the first year and give me back a refund.

Hi!! Thank you. Congrats to you as well! I've looked around at those, and I'm coming in by myself (first time ever - nerves are high, but open to the experience and to grow as an individual), so was looking to see what kind of housing people chose or if they were looking to room with others. I also have both loans, with the first loan covering my tuition and hopefully the grad plus helping with rent, bills, and other emergency funds. Trying to not have a job during this program so can focus on school and clinicals the whole time as well, but anything to reduce loans and interest pay back is high on my list.
But, yeah, primary things I've got left are: finish 1 more class, fingerprint/drug test/ crim background check, get the blue card, flu shot, apartment/room with someone?, finances, buy what is needed for the program, and move! What do you guys all have left? Or are you all done with everything?

I have everything completed, just waiting for them to tell us when we can take our drug test. I will tell you, go ahead with your background check/blue card because that can take a while. I would start looking at apartments now only because you never know what they availability will look like. Have you looked at the flyer for our uniforms? If not, its on the MyTlu, login and then go to "admissions" and on the right side of the screen at the bottom you will see "Uniform requirements" for NB and Houston. Your flu shot c can be taken in August during the start of Flu season.

Haha unfortunately it doesn't but I'm sure I can find something similar in mens, I'm between the Hokas, ONs, or Brooks, honestly if I can set aside enough money I may just get two pairs in different brands...I read online that alternating between shoes can help relieve foot pain.
