  1. I am sure yall did fine!! There is a professor on TikTok at Emory that is apart of the CRNA program admissions/interview team and she talked about they types of questions they ask people when interviewing. 9I forgot her name on Tik Tok, but just try typing in CRNA Emory University)
  2. I reached out to my advisor about the questionnaire as well and she said they will send a new one shortly. I really hate you are having this experience, but I promise once it gets completed, it's not as stressful.
  3. Hi, Congratulations to all of you guys! I am an aspiring CRNA here, for this specific program, do you guys have any tips that will help me along the way before even applying? I start my DEMSN program this fall in Texas, and hope to start as a trauma ICU nurse when I graduate.
  4. It's OK LOL it really depends on each individual situation. I know for me, I literally can't afford to not have what I need before I actually need it.
  5. Hey, so aside from apartments, I went and ordered my scrub tops from the store on the flyer and for 3 tips it was $121 total. I plan on getting my pants elsewhere and for the shoes, I went to the mall in San Antonio and I had already decided I either wanted Brooks, Hokas, or On Clouds and after trying on so many (all in all black as required) I went with On Clouds 10/10 recommend!!!
  6. A lot of apartment complexes currently have Summer move in specials going on where the rent may be cheaper or you can get the first 4-6 weeks free so look into that as well, but most importantly just remember that you want to LOVE where you live. That will be your place of rest and recharging, you won't be in school 24/7 so you also want to enjoy the things around you. As for price range, shoot for $13-1400, there are places that are WAY MORE expensive and not offering much. When you get out here to visit them, drive all around and really decide on your commute. That's strange..... maybe it was the specific unit I looked at.
  7. If you have TikTok go on there any type in "nursing school supply haul", just to get an idea of what majority of people get, and then decide what you think you'll use. That's how I ended up making my list.
  8. No problem. When I originally made my list it had my old address, but the days leading up to my move, I went on Amazon and changed the shipping address so it automatically went to my new place. As far as apartments, DO NOT SETTLE. I say this because I know you're on a time crunch, but nursing school is about to be one of the most stressful times of your life, and where you lay your head each night matters. If you can help it, stay on the 3rd floor so you are not hearing other above you. I personally recommend, "Tacara at Gruene", I absolutely loved this place (I do not live here) but I came across them after I signed my lease LOL so I was pretty sad. 10/10 recommend them. Price, distance from campus, amenities, and size is all great! Look into signing a 6 month lease just to be sure you are 100% loving where you live (learned that the hard way). Back to your Amazon list, I say go ahead, make it and send it out so people have enough time to help out. Be very intentional about the things you are putting on there because at the end of the day, you are the only person having to use those items. Same things with your apartment.
  9. If your advisor said wait then go with what they said, but I just know for me, I had started this whole process back in Sep/October of last year so I did have a little more time, but I'm also a single mom so I REALLY had to make sure I had my stuff in order way ahead of time. See about sending out your Amazon list to friends and family, that's who helped me with my school supplies. I say put everything you think you'll want/need even if it seems minor or stupid because they will buy it. Do you have all of your immunizations complete?
  10. I have everything completed, just waiting for them to tell us when we can take our drug test. I will tell you, go ahead with your background check/blue card because that can take a while. I would start looking at apartments now only because you never know what they availability will look like. Have you looked at the flyer for our uniforms? If not, its on the MyTlu, login and then go to "admissions" and on the right side of the screen at the bottom you will see "Uniform requirements" for NB and Houston. Your flu shot c can be taken in August during the start of Flu season.
  11. Hey! Congrats on being accepted! There are so many apartments, single family homes, and (I THINK) a set of town homes all within a 2-3 min drive to Resolute Baptist Health. If you have kids, there are 3 (that I know of) daycare centers within a 2-3 drive of the hospital as well. I took out the max on my GradPlus loans in addition to the regular amount from Financial aid, that was enough to cover the first year and give me back a refund.
