Texas CRNA 2021 Application

Hi everyone! Haven't seen a thread for this application cycle so just thought I'd start one. I am applying to UTHealth, Baylor, TCU, and LSU for 2021 start.

My stats are:

GPA: 3.60

GRE: 315 (Q 158/V 157/W 4.5)

CCRN: 104/125

BLS/ACLS/PALS

1.5 years MICU/SICU

So nervous!! (especially for those interviews!!)

Specializes in SICU/TICU/MICU.

Anyone else been waitlisted or have any insight on how this works when they still have interviews in January?

I received an email that my clinical site (Wichita) was not going to be offered anymore and that I'm an alternative for other sites. They didn't say what other sites. I would assume we would be offered a spot before the next round of interviews, but I can't be sure.

Wow. I wonder what caused a decrease in site options. I can only hope that we’ll be given priority when they do the next round of interviews.

Received a waitlist email as well. Even if a spot opens up after Jan interviews, I feel like there’s a slim chance one of my clinical site preferences will still be available.

I haven’t gotten a January invite yet, but last year I got the email on 11/25. So, hopefully soon they will be coming out this year.

Thank you! I am gonna update here if I get an interview.  Sometimes the email is in the junk mail and easy to miss.  can you update too just so we all know?

Are you trolling? Please elaborate on this. A terrible reputation, really? I wanted to apply there but got accepted somewhere else. I'm genuinely curious to know why it's a bad place if that's the case.

I got an email telling me October interview spots full and they will review mine for Jan interview. Told me they should come out around early Nov, BUT later was updated it would be close to Dec. Told me Jan interview will be in Jan 12-14. 

When did you submit your app?
