Texas CRNA Applicants 2020

Updated:   Published

Hello to all. I am applying to Texas CRNA schools to start in Summer/Fall of 2020 and wanted to start a thread for others who are also applying to be able to communicate and share questions, encouragements, stats etc. So far I have applied to TCU in Ft Worth and Ut Houston. I will be applying to Baylor College of Medicine as well as Texas Wesleyan when the applications open for those schools as well.

As far as stats. I've worked in ICU for 5 years, currently at a mixed ICU that includes Trauma, CVICU, Neuro, Surgery, and Medical ICU. Graduated back in 2014 with my BSN with a 3.6 GPA, CCRN certified, just completed PALS, and taking the GRE next month.

I look forward to chatting with others who are applying!

Hi! I just applied at TCU as well ?

Specializes in Critical Care.

Hello...applying to Baylor via the Army program...kind of doing what most say not to...applying to just one school....lets go!

I am applying to TCU and TWU!

2.5 years in the CV/CICU at a Magnet hospital.

GRE 309 (156V 153Q 4.0 Writing)

GPA 3.5

PALS ACLS CCRN CSC CMC

I'm applying to Baylor and UT-Houston!

Applying to Baylor

GPA: 3.72

GRE: 304

ICU: 1yr 4mo by matriculation

Applying to Baylor via the VA nurse program. I as well am only applying to this school, mainly because as a VA nurse tuition is covered as long as I commit to work for the VA for three years. Won’t be a problem for me because I’m not planning on going anywhere.

Stats:

3.95 grad school GPA (obtained MSN in 2015)

3.75 undergrad gpa

297 GRE (yes I’m retaking)

4 years FT float between PACU/neuro ICU/and SICU (currently contingent and FT at the VA)

as stated I’m only applying here. If I’m accepted then me and my family will move from Ohio to Texas. If I’m not accepted then I take it as a sign from God that it wasn’t met to be.

Specializes in CVICU.

Is it a requirement to have organic chem to apply to the CRNA schools in TX?
