Texas CRNA Applicants 2020

Nursing Students SRNA

Updated:   Published

Hello to all. I am applying to Texas CRNA schools to start in Summer/Fall of 2020 and wanted to start a thread for others who are also applying to be able to communicate and share questions, encouragements, stats etc. So far I have applied to TCU in Ft Worth and Ut Houston. I will be applying to Baylor College of Medicine as well as Texas Wesleyan when the applications open for those schools as well.

As far as stats. I've worked in ICU for 5 years, currently at a mixed ICU that includes Trauma, CVICU, Neuro, Surgery, and Medical ICU. Graduated back in 2014 with my BSN with a 3.6 GPA, CCRN certified, just completed PALS, and taking the GRE next month.

I look forward to chatting with others who are applying!

I have a friend that was accepted to TCU last year and says she heard about interview mid July!

I toured TCU this year and was told to expect to hear back about interviews at the end of July (potentially into the beginning of August) because this is their first year using NursingCAS.

Hi everyone!

I applied to UTHealth... I’m from Oklahoma, which makes me a little nervous because I have read blogs that mention they prefer in-state applicants. Has anyone heard of this? And my GRE scores aren’t the best. ? but I’m looking forward to this process and meeting everyone! Good luck!!

I’m sure it will work out! Did you apply anywhere else? My GRE isn’t great either so I feel your pain on that one.
