Texas Christian University (TCU) CRNA 2024

Published

Hello everyone! Applications for TCU CRNA have opened for Spring 2024. I was looking for a forum for this application cycle but didn't see one and decided to start one! I am working on my application and studying for the GRE currently. Best of luck to everyone!

Not the EQI questionnaire, the questions submitted with your application.  One clinical scenario question for me, and a follow up question on a medication I mentioned in my response. Mine lasted approximately 15 minutes total between the two interviews.

I am in the program now, so if there are any questions, feel free to reach out!

I had my interview. It was 2 panels. 3 people on the first and 2 people on the second panel. Each interview lasted about 15mins. I thought it was pretty relaxed and they were welcoming. No clinical questions for me, only behavioral/EI/situational questions. They gave ample time for questions at the end as well.

Good-luck to everyone interviewing!

I had mine yesterday. The panel was very nice, however, they did ask me straight up about my lower GPA and asked an open-ended clinical question.

That being said, they do tailor it to your resume/stats!

Absolutely, it's very tailored to your resume, essays, stats (entire application). If you don't mind me asking, what was your low GPA?

Thanks so much for sharing!!

I had mine this morning. Same as above - very conversational and it was mostly personal and behavioral questions. Be able to talk about your experience, your why, etc.

They also asked about my GPA. I had a much lower GPA from my first undergrad 10+ years ago (3.3 overall and science 3.1) vs BSN GPA 3.84 in 2021. And they asked me one very open-ended clinical question as well.

Good luck to everyone! Sounds like we may find out sooner than Aug 31st... fingers crossed!

@CardsRN2CRNA the website says august 31 so I asked if decisions would go out ON august 31 or BY the 31st, and they said by the 31st but likely much sooner! They are finishing interviews this Friday so hopefully they'll make decisions next week.

@allipalmer Yes, I saw that! I saw in other forums in years past they found out 7-8 days after the last interview date! Fingers crossed! That would put us finding out around 8/11 (that is a Friday, hopefully could be a good sign!!).

I didn't even ask but they said we should find out at the end of next week or the beginning of the week after. How many days of interviews are they doing this year. 3? Did anyone ever ask how many theyre interviewing vs how much theyre accepting THIS year?

@allipalmer We are very similar in the GPA sense. Do you mind sharing how TCU calculated your science GPA? Did you do any course retakes/if so, did they average your original grade with the retake? Did you take recent graduate science courses? I plan to apply next year and am waiting for this years interviews to be complete before I reach out and ask TCU these questions again. Just trying to get an idea of where I'm actually at ahead of time, but thank you so much for sharing this because you give me hope of getting an interview! Best wishes to you!!

Hi everyone, I interviewed today. It went okay. Definitely a few questions got to me. Was wondering if anyone who has already interviewed received the email with the clinical site form? I know in the video they mentioned in the evening of your interview day!
