Texas Children's Summer 2020

I wanted to start this for students/first year nurses who are applying at Texas Children's for the summer 2020 cohort, the application should open end of February/March. If anyone has insight to the firm timeline, good contacts, unit specific knowledge, this would be a good place do talk about it!

Out of curiosity, for those who are graduating this Spring... has anybody’s clinicals been cancelled because of COVID? And which state are you located in?

My clinical are postponed until April 3rd and I’m in Texas

My campus is closed until April 6th. No clinicals either. They said we may have to do some CEUs to make up for clinical. A lot of our classes have online work anyway but not sure how HESIs would work if we have to go longer. I'm worried we won't get to have a graduation/pinning ceremony since it's a big group of people ? At least we can all be stressed out together!

I have not. I interviewed last week and was told that it would be several weeks at the earliest that we would hear anything. She told me if I don’t hear anything by week 3 then to contact ****** for an update.

About how they had more positions then they thought so they were still processing our applications
