Didn't see a thread started for spring 2020 so I thought I would start one! The application opens soon, yay!
So a little about me, I have a previous bachelors degree from the University of Texas. I have 2 prerequisites left to complete (statistics and A&P II). My nursing science GPA is 3.8 and I take the HESI in a few weeks. I am applying for the Round Rock campus, I live in Austin now and am a stay at home mom while finishing up my prerequisites. I am so nervous! I do not currently have any hospital experience or volunteer work which I hoping to find somewhere soon to start. Would love to hear from anyone else applying to the program ?
I applied for the program in B/CS. I got my undergrad from A&M and have a few more nursing pre-reqs to finish up in the Fall.
Stats:
Overall/pre-reqs: 3.7
Nursing science (so far--still need A&P II and Micro): 4.0
HESI: 90 cumulative
I'm a little worried about my HESI. I was hoping for a bit more cushion, but we will see!
Did yall have an option to select interest in either campus? I feel like I only saw one or the other, but previous threads talked about the option of being willing to attend Round Rock or B/CS.
Applicants may only apply and be considered for admission into one BSN program per application cycle. Should an applicant need to make any changes to the program applied to in Nursing CAS, please contact the College of Nursing. Applicants should NOT submit multiple applications for the same application cycle.
Did anyone get an email from Identogo for a criminal background check? I just received one, but haven't had any other communication yet. It doesn't say anything about TAMU, but says its for the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
I was just on the phone with admissions. They are having technical difficulties with Elsevier and haven't received many of our HESI scores yet. They are dealing with the problem, but it has delayed finalizing the first step in the application process. They do use identogo, but typically notify the applicant before hand.
I just submitted my ApplyTexas application. Let the waiting begin! Last year they didn't hear acceptance news until the end of October. I'm so nervous and excited. Good luck everybody!
Has everyone received an email to submit apply Texas? I haven’t so I was wondering should I just go ahead and get started on it or wait for communication from the school?
