Didn't see a thread started for spring 2020 so I thought I would start one! The application opens soon, yay!
So a little about me, I have a previous bachelors degree from the University of Texas. I have 2 prerequisites left to complete (statistics and A&P II). My nursing science GPA is 3.8 and I take the HESI in a few weeks. I am applying for the Round Rock campus, I live in Austin now and am a stay at home mom while finishing up my prerequisites. I am so nervous! I do not currently have any hospital experience or volunteer work which I hoping to find somewhere soon to start. Would love to hear from anyone else applying to the program ?
EDIT: After new calculations with my summer course grade (college algebra), my pre-req gpa is actually a 3.59, not a 3.55. Not a big difference, but hopefully it helps! Wasn't sure if they were going to calculate the summer course, but verified today with Mrs. Breslin that they do factor it. Had to update the change on NursingCAS.
Hope everyone is doing well. We should all know the results by the end of the month, correct?
Last year (the application for spring 2019) they sent out acceptances on Oct. 19th. That would be Oct. 18 of this year for spring 2020 so, maybe this Friday! I do know that a few people on the board are leaving and one person is retiring so, that may delay it a bit.
Yeah I think so! I just looked on the allnurses discussion post called “TAMU College Station Spring 2019” and people were commenting saying they got in on Oct.19th. I think it was for the traditional BSN.
I'm SO anxious too... I have a feeling we'll find out sometime either today, tomorrow, or thursday! Based on when people have found out in the past few years. Most people found out on the 23rd but the 23rd last year was a Tuesday!
