Hey Ya'll!

Is anyone here applying, attending or a graduate of Texas A&M? I was just wondering if anyone else was in my shoes wondering what to expect because it is such a new program. Thanks for your help!!

Congrats cupacke!!!! The best of luck to you in your future!!!!

Hey Cupcake231,

Nothing in the mail for me...I just want to know! Ugh!

Just wanted to share with everyone what I was emailed back regarding the wait list:

"We have given the accepted students a deadline to respond of April 28th. After April 28th, we will be able to make final admission decisions. I would expect final decision letters to be out by the beginning of May."

Not really anything I didn't already know but when you are craving information it is something! Congrats to all who got in, and waitlister's there is still hope! I just wish I knew how many people are on this waitlist!

I am also waiting to hear back from TAMHSC. Getting nervous!

Still waiting! I'm more anxious everyday!

Hi there! I'm currently a student at Texas A&M and I applied for the TAMU HSC, TWU, UTMB, and TAMU Corpus Christi.

I got accepted everywhere including the TAMU Health Science Center. I don't know how many people were waitlisted but I was informed that about 250 people applied for roughly 50 slots (33 for the generic). I'm a little worried to read on here that the TAMU HSC would have less credibility because it is new and that students will have to "prove" themselves. Does this dishearten anyone else?

Has anybody been accepted anywhere else and considering somewhere else? Or what do you particularly like about the Health Science Center?

Personally, I'm dreading having to take pathophysiology and pharmacology at the same time... eeek!!!

I got accepted at UT-Houston, TWU, and TAMU HSC and I will be going to TAMU HSC... Since I'm also currently at A&M I've decided to stay in college station. I feel like A&M has a good reputation and if you really work hard your skills will show it and I highly doubt you'll have a problem getting a job wherever you go.

Good point. I was also concerned about graduate school, like getting a master's degree. Let's say I want to be a nurse practitioner and I got my BSN from TAMU HSC, would the school I want to apply for give me just as much credit as someone who went to TWU? Does the school from where I got my BSN matter in this case? I don't know!
