Hey Ya'll!

Is anyone here applying, attending or a graduate of Texas A&M? I was just wondering if anyone else was in my shoes wondering what to expect because it is such a new program. Thanks for your help!!

That is wierd that you got the letter today lindsaypaige. I wonder why they would make all of us do the background check and then not accept us? Cupcake 231..did you get an email from A&M or was it from this discussion board?

Oh yeah and lindseypaige..if you don't get into either place you should try applying to the UTA AP BSN program. From what I've heard it's not nearly as competitive. I'm hoping I can get in there and I am losing hope for the other places I've applied. This can be depressing. =(

Bestaver-I agree, it can be depressing and exhausting. Where else have you applied to? UTA (Austin)? Don't give up hope just yet!:)

No email...hmm...I'm thinking I probably got on the waiting list. I applied to El Centro (Dallas Community College.) It's a reputable program and very inexpensive. It's also very competitive. I was referring to UT Arlington. They have a great nursing program and they recently started an Academic Partnership online nursing program with hospitals in the DFW area. You take all of the nursing courses online and do clinicals with UTA instructors. It's accelerated and is only supposed to take 15 months, and it is less competitive because the program is so new and a lot of people don't know about it. I just found out about it a couple of weeks ago, and I have most of the prerequisites done so I'm going to apply for the Sept 2010 start date. The deadline is May 1, so there's still time if any of you want to apply there! =)

Hey well I don't know anything for sure yet and neither do you so stay hopeful about the a&m nursing school! It's nit over until you open that letter!!! Best of luck to you!

Hey everyone, I'm new to the site but I just got my TAMHSC College of Nursing Letter today and I was waitlisted. Better than nothing I guess. Does anyone know how many waitlister's get in, how many people are on it, etc. I am dying for information and so sick of playing this waiting game. Help PLEASE!

since you got your letter you areallowed to call them and ask questions. I would call them to find out details about the waitlist if possible

because I have no clue! Wish I could help!

sooo....drumroll......I GOT ACCEPTED! I am so thankful first to God and then to my supportive family and boyfriend. I wish the best for everyone and let me know if you get into the a&m nursing school as well!
