Test Shut off at 75 and I know I failed

Good luck Gigglystyle.. I think comment above is very good and accurate -- ATi is really good prep for Nclex but in reality from what I experienced in the exam the ATi practice tests I did were much harder!

What I did after the Nclex was panic about the ones I was not sure about and forgot about many easier ones where I thought "oh, I know this!".....and clearly answered correctly.

Also agree with Belljar above that I recall quite a few legal/ethical issue questions and delegation questions.

Be thinking of you...I have a job interview today! Its a roller coaster..study like a mad thing....pass the Nclex - applied for jobs online - license arrived and 1st call to come to interview... and its today.. I pray that you will have good new today too..... :yes:

So update: I just tried pvt again and I'm STILL on hold. This is absolutely ridiculous. I really don't see why it's taking so long and I took it on Saturday. They are probably going to close any minute so I will have to wait ANOTHER day for these results. What's the point of testing on a computer and offering "quick results" if I'm still going to have to wait forever and a half. This whole process has just been one big emotional roller coaster.

Don't lose heart -- did you pay the $8 for quick results, if so that is unacceptable -- I sat mine at 11.30 on a Friday and was able to see results on the Sunday lunch time.....or are you trying the 'trick" ?......it must be very frustrating but I bet it will be ok! Thinking of you...

Thank you for your kind words! And yes it's very fustrating. I think you pay the 8$ after your results are ready not before. I'm trying not to lose faith but I just think it's ridiculous how long it's taking.

Do not feel like you are alone. I can guarantee you there is not one single soul that left their exam thinking they passed. If it were that easy, everyone can do it. But you and I both know that not everyone can do it and you are here for a reason. Do not lose hope, hang in there! I will tell you, I felt the exact same way. I left thinking I failed, especially after taking it to 135 questions. I got random questions sporadically throughout the exam that were easy, like what is the alpha-fetoprotein connected to? I got that wrong and knew it immediately after. So, don't feel down or stupid. For 48 hours after (or more like 49 hours), I freaked out. You have no idea, I was on allnurses all the time trying to figure out other people's experiences similar to mine. At the end of the day, I didn't get any resolution from it because I had to wait, no matter what. Well, I passed! You can and will too. If you don't, don't take it as if you are a failure. Take it as you need to work a little harder and perhaps change how you are studying! The world will be ready for you as a nurse when the time comes, I promise! Good luck :)

Hi GigglyStyle, do you know now why your test result says on "hold"? I took the exam Mar 25 and since then I'm doing the PVT and it says my test result is on hold too. I hope I passed after reaching 150+ questions. Waiting for the quick result is so nerve wrecking.

Hey I think it was on hold because there were problems with the camera. You should have your results by some time this week. Good luck!!!

Well, at the beginning when I was about to finish with the practice exam just before starting the real nclex exam, my computer stopped and encountered technical issue so the Test Aide has to fix it for like 30 mins or so and she was trying to fix it with a technician over the phone and it was resolved. So I guess it could be that incident also that caused my exam result to be on hold.?? I just wanna get checking the result over with. ..My anxiety level is up in the sky...thanks for your reply. Congratulations!

Yes. That is most likely why your test is on hold. They will likely have to complete an incident report and go over all the audio and video of your exam. But hopefully you will get your results sometime soon. I know all about your anxiety as you can see by my previous posts lol. Hang in there and keep us posted!
