Hey there rngirl88! Congrats on your offer! I also want to go into the critical care tract. I have not yet applied but I was wondering if you could tell me what your pre interview information looked like? Im applying for the Summer 2017 cohort, and Im nervous that my GPA is going to hold me back! Thanks!
My GPA is 3.8
Dont worry too much about the GPA. They will look at the whole picture! They will ask for a letter of intent. Make sure you knock this out of the park; that will make the difference! Also, don't wait until the last minute to do your resume. This can also really set you apart!
Ok, I will work extra hard on those things. Thanks for the advice and good luck! :)

I agree with you! I did my resume months before I was able to apply. I worked on my letter of intent and resume with the help of one of my clinical teachers. I also didn't have a great GPA but I got offered a position in the NICU so I feel like they look at the whole picture of references and your interview.

Any advice for writing the Letter of Intent? Is this basically like a Cover Letter or more of a personal statement?
Letter of intent is the same as cover letter

Just curious. Can anyone tell me how much a nurse resident makes at Vanderbilt?

Those of you who have started this program, what are your thoughts? How has the experience been like so far?

I made mine a hybrid between the two. I feel like the personal aspects of my letter really helped the administrators get a feel for who I was as a person, but I also incorporated typical cover letter stuff like strengths/goals/etc...

what are the chances I'll get the job off the waitlist? Is it kind of just a nice method of rejection or do I still have hope?
