Baptist school of nursing Memphis Fall 2014

U.S.A. Tennessee

Hi! I need more information about Baptist school of nursing in memphis, tn. Im currently a student at Victory University but im wanting to transfer to baptist for fall 2014. What is the GPA requirement for the school? I registered for the interest session on October 2, 2013. I spoke with admissions last week who told me that there has to be atleast 31 transferable credits before may 1, 2014. I will have 31credits by april! Will this decrease my chance of getting accepted since im not submitting transcripts early? Is baptist a good school to attend? Has anyone applied the same year and got accepted for the following semester? How long is the waitinglist if I have to be put on that? Im working towards atleast getting a 3.6 GPA will this be good enough?

Bumping for you! I'm interested in Baptist as well! Initially, I was hoping to get into Memphis, but I am seriously considering baptist now as well! I didn't know you had to have 31 credits by May to be accepted though? I'll have 34 by the end of this next spring semester so hopefully that counts!

Yes! I spoke with a Christopher Cotton and all there is needed is 31 credits by May 1. I'll have mine by April of next year. I recently found out that they require a 2.7 GPA to be considered so I'm aiming for at least a 3.4 before may so that I can be competitive! I'm attending an interest session at baptist tomorrow. I'll keep you updated on what I find out once I leave:)

Please keep us updated. I'm interested in Baptist as well. I'm just concerned about their wait list.

I'm concerned about their wait list as well. I did not attend the interest session yesterday. They have another one coming up on October 16th. I'm most definitely attending that one. But I've heard that if you have a really high GPA your considered competitive and you have a really good chance of getting in. I wanted to go to union university but you have to be 24 to start there and I'm only 22. Plus there tuition is really high and baptist is way more affordable. I'm just praying that I get admitted for fall 2014!!!

I have looked at Union also last night! I'm applying to UTHSC and U of M also. UTHSC is my first choice because it's accelerated. I have applied for Baptist Spring 14 but I rather finish my prereqs at the U of M.

I'm scared of UTHSC tease test!! Have you taken it already? Does memphis have a waiting list? And how many credits does memphis require to enter directly into their nursing program? I wanted to attend baptist for spring 2014 but I'm not going to have all the required credits before the deadline. Have you submitted all of your information to baptist?

For the U of M you must complete your science courses (A&P 1&2, Micro, and Nutrition). I was told by a nursing advisor at the U of M that I may enter the program without all of my general ed classes but I'm required to have them completed by the fourth semester of clinicals. I originally planned to apply to U of M Spring 14 but I was missing a general ed. So I decided to wait to take my TEAS. The advisor called me three weeks ago informing me that I could still apply for the spring and to take my Teas. All of the testing sites were full so I'm taking it next month. I only have to send two more transcripts to Baptist. I do not know about a waiting list for the U of M. Depending on the number of applicants, the U of M will only take GPAs 3.1 and above although the required GPA is 2.7.

So how many credits do the u of m require? Or do they require just a&p I & II, micro, and nutrition to be completed? I mean I know they require those courses but do they require a certain amount of credits like baptist? Baptist only requires 31 credits to transfer into their program.

I have tried looking on the site for that information but it did not state anything about transfer credits. This is what I have copied from the requirements.
