Temple College 2015

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the LVN or RN programs at Temple College for 2015. We can share information, discuss any concerns, talk about the HESI exam, getting cleared through the Board of Nursing, or the just nursing program in general! Those of you that are already in the program are more than welcome to chime in.

PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way taking responsibility for any wrong information given, nor will I moderate this thread. I just want to meet new friends and support one another through the process of applying and getting our acceptance letters!

Math will be my biggest issue. I am thinking about going to a study session at TC, just to see what they have to offer.

Those are awesome scores! I took it last year and made a 95 without studying. It was so much easier than I expected. I have the study guide now and plan to study and test at CTC also. Application deadline hasn't passed yet and I am already dreading THE WAIT!

Why do you have to take it again? I believe the scores are suppose to stay usable for 2 years.

Hello! I applied for the LVN program in October. I only made a 87. Do you know when we find out if we are in or not? On previous threads it looked like mid-Feb, but I wanted to be sure!! If so, the wait is so long!!! Thanks and good luck to everyone!!!

I'm not sure when the LVN program applicants find out! Wish I could help! I know the RN isn't until late spring right?

Hi!! I'm not sure about the RN because I only applied to the LVN program. Did you apply to the both of them?

We find out about the LVN program in February. Brandie, did you take the pre-reqs as well? 87 is pretty good. If you took the pre-reqs, I would bet that you get in.

No.. I haven't taken them but I will for sure take them before applying next time if I don't get in. Do you know how many applicants there are?

There is no way of knowing. Registration is open until the end of December.

Oh?! On the website it says last day to take Hesi is Nov. 21 and last day to turn in application for the program was Dec. 1. Did it change?

Brandi, they extended the deadline for the Hesi to Dec 8th, and the application deadline moved as well, to Dec 11th. There was a general e-mail sent to all TC students about the Hesi deadline change. I had to e-mail the LVN secretary to find out the new application deadline.

Not sure how many applicants usually apply to the LVN program. I know for the RN program last year, about 240 applied. Of those, about 200 were qualified and about 60 got in.
