Hey Everyone, I created this thread for anybody looking to apply for the 2016 LVN or ADN program at Temple College! Anyone and Everyone is welcome to come and discuss your application processes, Acceptance into the programs, your nursing history with Temple College, etc.. I look forward to speaking and hopefully meeting my new fellow classmates through this thread!
Thanks!!!
I thought i responded to this message. sorry lol..
I haven't received the official packet yet they sent out on Mar 2. Im sure we will have an orientation where I can ask 1000 questions lol...But I was wondering how much scrubs are? the color? etc. Do you have to buy them through the school? What about pen lights, stethoscopes etc? can we buy our own or do you to buy everything through the school? CTC makes us buy everything thru the school except our scrubs.
Im so excited yet nervous as i have been a student through CTC for years now and know what to expect from most teachers. lol
Do you y'all have access to powerpoints? Should I bring my MacBook? When i was going through the LVN program last year I started off by printing every powerpoint and writing on them. Then I received a macbook air during the summer and decided to use it instead of printing off everything. Its helped decrease cost of ink/paper, but depending on if we are allow laptops or how they teach information would determine how I should prepare for class.
Scrubs are around $30-40 a set and you can get them anywhere they just have to be the same item number, brand is landau, and color is hunter green. You can get everyother accessory you want in any color you want from where ever you want. They do sell them at the school but everything is usually overpriced there. Yes you will have access to powerpoints, and you can bring your laptop if you want to as well. You are also required to get a lab coat and a TC emblem. And a nurses equipment kit from some site thats around $50 it is your skills equipment. And no problem :) hope this info helps.
Hi everyone,
I also submitted my ADN app last week. I got a pretty low HESI score, but still was able to make the min 80/ section. I'm out of district and my gpa is a 3.7 and I have all co-reqs completed. Therefore, bringing my points to 8/13. Not great...but hopefully enough.
Good job to everyone who has completed their apps and good luck!

Claire your GPA is really good, so if you and someone else has the same amount of points they go by you're GPA. That should help you out a lot. Do you remember what applicant # you were?
I hope so. I feel very mediocre with my score. I didn't even ask what app # I was, since there was still 3.5 weeks left for applicants to submit their apps.
Well I know only like 65 applied to the VN program this year. So hopefully not many applied to the ADN as well. I haven't turned in my application yet, but when I go I'll let y'all know how many are in.

I was so focused on TC that I don't have everything for CTC. I'm going to take micro this summer, and they have 2 classes...the pharmacology, and RNSG 1229 that I think I would have to do. I don't know if any of my VN classes from TC would count for those 2 classes. So I'm looking at applying in November for the following spring -sigh-
...and bsdavis88, kind of like your situation, I've only been at TC so I don't know what to expect from CTC. I don't know anyone who has been in their bridge program so really feel lost.
