Temple College 2011 ADN/LVN

Published

Hello I just wanted to see if there are any people on the site who are planning on applying to the ADN or LVN program at Temple College for 2011??? If so I just wanted us to all have a place to talk and ask questions about the Hesi, application process and whatever else.

I didn't get in... congrats Angel!!!!!!! Sorry Neechocolate :-(

Im ok cause I got in the LVN program.... Sorry that you didnt get in either!

Hey, I got in too! Whew.

Congradulations to you Sean68! :)

Is there anyone that got into Temple College ADN program that was out of district? Because I do. Also I saw that someone posted a C is of concern I have a 3.2 GPA but I took A&P 7years ago and got a C, but a A. In A&P ll will that possibly be an issue? I'm going to try and get the highest score I can on the HESI exam I was just curious as to what everyone thought plus I have all my prerequisites and more.

Sorry when I put because I do, I ment because I live out of district in Georgetown to be exact.

Hi nickalicious. I'm out of district (Taylor) and I got in. My grades were as follows: A&P I (A), A&P II (A), Intro Psychology (A), Composition (B), Composition II (A), Humanities Elective (A), and Speech ©. I think that covers it. The "C" I got was in a speech class I took over 20 years ago so maybe they took that into consideration; however, I think they based admissions decision on a formula, but who knows.

I scored a 95.26 on the Hesi. I also have a BA in English magna cum laude, though I don't know if that influenced their decision. I suspect not but again who knows.

I don't think the C in A&P I will hurt you any more than it would if you got it in Intro to Psych or, like me, Speech. Based on my layman's impression, you obviously need to score REALLY well on the Hesi. I mean make it your mission. Also, ace whatever prereq's you have left. An "A" in microbiology would neutralize the "C" in API and send a positive signal that you're serious about nursing.

Hope that helped.

I wish you lots of luck and make the most of the next year and get yourself in there!

Sean
