Temecula Valley Hospital New Grad Job Fair April 2013 - Southwest Healthcare System

Published

Hey everyone! I thought it would be helpful to start a new thread for the Temecula Valley New Grad Job Fair that happened today. It didn't seem like there was much information they could give as far as the number of people they would hire, when it would start, or when/if they would be calling people. Anyone get info today that they'd like to share? Then we can all keep each other updated on here. Good luck to us all!

Based on an old thread, this test is used to determine if we get interviews.

From my understanding, only those who attended the job fair were asked to take the assessment.

Oh and I asked how many applicants were taking the assessment and they told me 200. That number may seem high but there were 500 at the open house, so they cut it down pretty quickly! Good luck everyone!

200 that's awesome and promising! Actually, my interviewer told me that 911 showed up... 200 is almost a 1 in 4 chance since they are hiring 40. I wonder if that includes the people they are interviewing for the unpaid clinical refresher as well...

We'll know soon!

Yeah I heard 900 showed up too. I'm sure the 200 includes the new grads from 2011 because they were invited to the assessment as well

There were also some people that didn't show at all. I went at 8:30am and heard one of the people holding the list of names stating that 5 people didn't show up. So I'm sure that list of 200 shrunk a little as the day progressed! Does anyone know if they'll call regardless, to let you know if you did or didn't get an interview?

I think they will call regardless... I was told we will receive a call within 1-2 weeks!

Yes, I was told they would let us know either way. That may be by phone or email I suppose.

900 applied online and 500 showed up at the job fair.

200 testing is a much better number!

Anyone know anything more about the clinical refresher program? I wonder if the 40 applicants chosen includes or exclude the grads for that program too?

The impression I received from my interviewer was that the 40 DID NOT include those selected for the clinical refresher as that is being offered through a separate grant.

Those are good odds then!
