TEAS V score/GPA??

I took the TEAS on August 11 and scored proficient with an individual score of 77.3% and national PR of 83.

88.1% for reading with a 91 national PR.

70.0% for math with a 52 national PR.

75.0% for science with a 90 national PR.

76.7% for English language and usage with an 84 national PR.

My GPA is currently 3.05.

I have a B+ in chemistry, a C in A&P I, and a B in A&P II.

From these numbers, does it look like I have a chance of getting accepted into the nursing program, or should I take the test again? The deadline would be October 1st which is cutting it close and I don't have too much time to study because of my other classes.

It really depends on your program. What are the requirements? My school has requirements but accepts whoever meets requirements on a first come-first serve basis.

So do you mean your school has a waitlist? The first people who apply that have completed the requirements get in? Mine just selects the ones that have the best scores (TEAS, GPA, science course grades), it doesn't matter if it's the first time applying or the third. The requirements at mine are to score 'Basic' on the TEAS, complete a biology and a chemistry class with a grade of C or better and complete elementary algebra or place higher. Now, those requirements are a bit deceptive, because they actually are looking for more (Anatomy & Physiology, etc.). They also normally accept students with an average of 27 credits or so. I have 29.5 so far.

I started going to a different community college this year as well as my regular one to take a couple classes. I'm thinking of applying for their nursing program too. They have a waitlist and people who apply wait 1-2 years I am told. I guess that means even if you have good scores/grades you don't just get accepted right away.

All in all it's very frustrating! I have almost all of my non-nursing classes completed or completing now and have applied three times (two of which I was not accepted), third I am waiting on.

Yes, my college has a waitlist. I had applied for this Fall semester but I applied too late and won't be starting until January. I am not complaining though because I don't have the best grades, although my HESI score was high. But yes, if I were you I would apply to more than one program just in case. Good luck :)
