TEAS V- Exemplary, Advanced, Proficient or Basic?

I need to retake the TEAS V @ CCBC and they are not posting requirements other than scores Proficient or higher get accepted. I obviously want to get the highest score possible, but I also want to see where I stand.

If you wouldn't mind, please share your overall TEAS V score and if it was: Exemplary, Advanced, Proficient or Basic. I would really be grateful.

what is a 66.7 percentile? does anyone know?

The ATI Acedenic Level (exemplary, advanced, proficient, etc) should be on the upper right corner of your results just under the Adjusted Individual Total Score. That score sounds like a basic. I am not sure where you are applying but most schools will not accept for anything below a proficient. You may want to think about re-testing.

actually i just checked in the upper right hand conor like you said and its proficient...

Hi Everyone;

I have a 60% on the TEAS and it says "Proficient".. I'm sooo ashamed of how low my score is... :idea:

I have turned my application in for Fall 2011, Can u guys pls advice me if I should take it over within the next month? or just wait till i get my decision, take it over and send application for Spring 2012?

The only class that I have left is A&P2, which i know i will get an A in..

hi nursinginthemaking101,

at my school, ccbc, they said if you feel you can get higher than 79%, than it is worth it to retake it. otherwise, proficient is proficient weather you got a low 58% or a high 79%. they are only ranking the teas into three categories. proficient (58%-79%), advanced (80%-89%), and exemplary (90%-100%). i hope this helps. i have called 3 times and spoke with 3 different people; they all said the same thing. good luck to you!:)

also, don't be so hard on yourself! the average score nationally is 63.3%. the teas v is much harder than teas 4.

my advice is... stick to your plan and apply for the fall. you just may be surprised.

StudentRN2be, thank you so much for the post! I too was not pleased with my TEAS score and therefore I am freaking out about being accepted this fall. I did get proficient so we'll see how that goes. It doesn't help that I'm still in A&P 2 and Micro. I'm going crazy w/this long wait. I wish you all the best!

Hi, I got an 82.6 and was placed advanced and was accepted into the program. I will start in the fall and have yet to meet anyone accepted with a higher score, in my school, at least. I didn't really study though, so my advice is to study and really spend alot of time on the science. Average scores at my school were around 64-70%.
