Hi all,
I am new to this site and trying to get some advice. I am taking my TEAS V test this week to apply to Kennesaw State University in GA. I am a excellent student with a 3.75 GPA and Have all A's and 2 B's in the pre-reqs. Yet somehow, I am really struggling with the practice tests for the TEAS. I have always had anxiety when taking standardized tests and am really nervous! I have been doing horrible in the math getting a 50% in the individual part and a 63% for the science. I need at least an 83 to be competitive with fellow peers applying. After this semester I only have 3 GE classes left and I am done, I don't know how I should go about succeeding on this test. Should I hire a tutor? This is my passion and what I have wanted for so long, but this darn test is in my way. Any advice would be wonderful!
Thank you & have a wonderful day! :)

When I did practice test for TEAS V, I also did awful, I actually failed the online versions. I have 3.5 overall gpa, 4.0 math/science gpa so we are similar in stats. But I hadn't taken APII, Micro or Patho yet, and I never took Organic Chemistry since it's not required at CSU. But I did take the real TEAS V this past September and I made an 83. I think I did very well considering all of the sciences I was missing. The real test is actually much easier in every subject, especially the Language/Math. You have 2 attempts to take it, so I would just bite the bullet and take it and see how well you do. Also, in January the TEAS will have a new version TEAS VI, and my advisor tells me, most ppl do awful the first time a new version comes out, so hurry and take the V.
smaria2012~ Thanks for the info! I hope I do as well as you, these practice tests are awful and I definitely don't want to take the new version! Thanks for the response :)
smaria2012~ are you @ a CA university? I am from there if so :)

You have two tries. I agree on both parts with Smaria 2012. I had all my pre-reqs done with a 4.0, and scored an 89 the first time after failing most of the practice tests. I bought all the official study guides, worked very hard, and actually did much worse my second try. Find out where you stand first! The TEAS test I took was much less difficult than any of the "practice" tests....Good luck!

Really study that life science and basic algebra. It will help out so much on conquering that test. Good luck! I attended Kennesaw State a year ago for some pre-pharmacy classes. I loved it there but it was honestly easier to get into a nursing curriculum up here in PA.
CA=Clark Atlanta? No, I'm at Clayton State.
Thanks everyone for the info
