Hey guys!
I'm taking (for my first time) my TEAS test next friday and I am soooo nervous. I'm generally not very good at test testing and tend to overthink it sometimes. I purchased the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam Book to study off from. I have been learning and remembering things (especially the math portion, which is my worst subject by the way!).
I know there are a lot of threads out there about the teas test but I am worried! I tried doing some of the math problems given on the practice exam in the Kaplan book and they are hard and i'm struggling with them. I just want to know if the math is straight forward or complicated (with a lot of thinking going into trying to solve the problems)??? Especially the word problems, they're the toughest for me.
And also, I want to know if there are a lot of anatomy or physiology questions on the test. I know each test do vary but if you have taken the teas before, how was the science portion of the test??
And at my school, we're allow to take the teas test 2 more times after the first time if we happen to not pass it the first time. I'm just wondering how long you have to wait to retake it again if you don't pass it the first time. I believe it varies by school but I want to know how long the wait was for you guys.
THANKS SO MUCH!

I have never taken it - but am also taking it on Friday the 7th. I am going to use the ATI book (it's supposed to arrive today), and will focus on the math and science portions. I don't even know how much weight the school to which I will apply puts on this test (they don't say in any of their printed materials).
Try to focus on test taking strategies too. If you feel you aren't good at standardized tests, maybe it will help you improve so that your true knowledge will shine through? You can do it! Good luck to you.

Theres only like two or three questions on A&P so I wouldn't really focus on that portion. I took it like a year ago, and I just remember a lot of fraction and ratio questions for the math portion. Other threads on here will go more in depth I think.

Start the day with a good breakfast.
Tell yourself this is a trial run to figure out what you need to know. It will take the pressure off.
Review math and I heard grammar/spelling.
I haven't taken yet but I am working on the math part right now.

I heard on one thread they concentrate on the math section with converting and decimals and percentages.. the science section they've said to study rocks and odd other aspects? I haven't taken it yet either but I'm hoping it isn't that bad.
