TEAS Exam Tips

Published

HI everyone,

I took my TEAS test on saturday. IF you have any questions please feel free to ask since it is still fresh on my mind. 3 tips I can say that will help is time mangement, speed, and ask yourself do I have evidence that supports my answer. I am still waiting for my scores but I don't mind helping others who are wondering for answers.

@atlback2RN I agree!!i was going to do gpc but now i have other options with the score I received.Im probably going to apply all over..Somebody accept me lol..

The Math For Nurses is very helpful. I use it to sppluement whatever I did in Pre-Algebra and will be doing in Beginning Algebra. In NY we take Regents exams in high school...I took Regents classes so I did take math, chemistry, biology, etc. But it's been 24 years since I've taken most of these classes! The books can be ordered on Amazon or from Barnes and Noble...just search Barrons Regents Review. I'll post questions should they arise. :smug:

okay. Thanks for telling me about the math for nurses book will invest into this. Did i answer yuor question in the earlier post? I was so busy and resting after that test.lol

I was nervous about the math section too. I studied math from a book I bought (Davis' basic math review for Nurses). I also practiced the math questions at testguide.com

I need to look into that book. The test guide helped definitely just challenging on the math section for that website.

I HAVE TO TAKE THE TEAS EXAM AND I AM ANXIOUS AND NEED A BOOK TO REVIEW.

What kind of science books or resources were very helpful? I took it my first time and got a low score, not enough to pass. And my science score was horrible. I get so frustrated with the science because it is all over the place, and I don't know exactly what to study.

You might want to research on this website for the science portion because I was struggling with that as well. However my program only looks at Math and Reading. So that's the only two I was focused on. Once I find my book I wrote down some notes on a website for science. I also watched youtube videos to help understand DNA,RNA,transcritption, translation, mitosis, meosis, scientfic reasoning, etc.I used the McGraw Hill book and reviewd every review that it stated in the beginning of the section. It is a long list with the bullets but this is what I went off.

Hey, I know its been a while since you posted this but I am also taking my TEAS jun 4th at wcc. I bought review books that I haven't even opened since the winter because it was was such a hectic semester. I was just wondering if you had received any helpful information from anyone that you would't mind sharing.

Thanks!
