Teas 6 exam

Nursing Students TEAS

I'm taking the teasvi exam on the 24th of this month. I got the ati book which has many mistakes, I also purchased pretest A&B. After reading all the comments got very overwhelmed because I heard that the pretest A&B are very similar to the actual test! How true is that?

@Jumana- hi may I ask what book you used to study? any study tips? also what was your score if you don't mind sharing.

@classof2019, I used the ati study book. To be honest you can study the book, but don't rely 100%on it. I used preppocket app and was really helpful, many YouTube videos and taking notes. My total score was 86.4%, my highest score was in science. Do not spend so much time on math, even if you are not that good in math just study the basics. Spend more time on A&P, grammer and time yourself in reading. It is a must because even if you are so good in reading it will get you in the exam by running out of time. I hope that helps. Best of luck and I truly think if you spend at least 3-4 hours every day for at least 6 weeks you will do great.

@JumanaO thank you for the tips! I've been studying for almost 3 weeks now and I'm taking the test on June 2nd. I feel like I'm spending too much time on A&P but haven't started on any of the rest of the science part. Also, I'm getting frustrated with word problems but I have mastered decimals, PEMDAS, percentage, fraction, etc. any advice? Thank you!

Check to see if your local library has a TEAS 6 book. Then you can take a peek at it and compare. You could also go to a Barnes & Noble and do the same :)

One big difference is 5 didn't allow calculators and 6 does, so I imagine the math section may be a little different.

hey, do you by any chance know if taking it the second time we have the same questions or totally different.

totally different. ATI has 6 different versions of the test.

Thank you this is good information. I am taking the exam February 20,2018. Is there any other advise to give me. How similar is the exam to the TEAS V exam. I took that 6 years ago, but have to retake the newer test.

Thanks

I ended up getting a 95. But like everyone has been saying, science is mostly A&P, understanding organ functions, and pretty much no chemistry

Hi all, I will be giving a paper-pencils base exam next month. Is that best idea rather than the computer?
