I'm taking the teasvi exam on the 24th of this month. I got the ati book which has many mistakes, I also purchased pretest A&B. After reading all the comments got very overwhelmed because I heard that the pretest A&B are very similar to the actual test! How true is that?
I know how you feel. I scored 61 and needed 62 to pass. I have been so upset at myself but its getting better each day. I am now on remediation until I retake the test next year to start the nursing program. I previously studied off the ATI manual and took booth practice tests. I also purchased the mometrix and briefly went over it. I just didn't have enough time to study like I should have. many people here say the ATI is good enough and now that Im going thru each page line by line I can see their point. I suggest you reading it well and making your own flashcards watch youtube videos and use text books for the sections you struggle with. keep me posted I would love to know how your studying is going since we are in the same boat :) and keep your head up! you will ace it next time.
Yeah you most definitely know how I feel then! I left the test room feeling so discouraged and upset with myself. I will for sure do everything that you recommended, I appreciate the good advice and encouraging words! 50% of it is believing in yourself that you can do it, and the other half is applying yourself. I know we will both knock it out of the park our next time taking it :). I'll most certainly keep you updated on the progress throughout my studying, and vice/versa. Thanks for the reply!
so i took my teas today and got a 75 so Ill have to retake it next month sadly since my programs requires a 78 or higher. It was nothing like the practice test to be honest. It was a lot harder and I have been studying for 3 weeks. So i will continue to study everyday and add more to what I know in preparation to next month. What messed me up was the grammar and reading sections. Math was easy I got 89 and didn't even study for it. Science was okay, I got an 80. But the rest, oh dear lol I don't even want to talk about it. My advice is don't neglect the english portion of the test for Science. Good Luck to all. Oh and I took my exam in Florida.
So i took the exam last Friday in CA, the actual exam is nothing like the practice. It just give you an idea what the exam looks like. Now from my experience and the other 32 students who took the exam with me we all ran out of time in the reading part. You must time yourself when you practice reading. I was on qs 24 out of 53 i think when they announced we have 20 minutes left!!!
math not that hard. Grammer is a killer, now your subject-verb agreement. Know common spelling like accommodating, foreign, appointments. Science for sure was more physiology than anything else. One chemistry equation to balance, the rest is get familiar with endocrine system, immune system, and gastrointestinal. Ati book wasn't a big of a help at all. To be honest few qs were not even covered in the ati book; like what muscle in your body is responsible for goosebumps? You can read the ati book just to refresh your A&P, but for sure you need to look up YouTube videos and write notes. The only thing ati book helps is in the grammar part. Study at least 4 weeks prior to the test.

Hey guys, I took the TEAS test last week and totally bombed it. I made a 52% while I have to at least make a 70% to even apply for my cardiovascular sonography program. I'll be retaking it in May and I'm stressed out of my mind. I used the ATI teas study manual, but I feel like it didn't help me as much as everyone said it did for them. Although I will admit I could have studied longer and had a severe case of test anxiety that impacted me poorly, lol. Does anyone have any other study material recommendations/advice? I'm thinking about buying the teas secrets book and purchasing both A & B practice tests while simultaneously still studying from the manual. Any feedback helps!!
