TCU Nursing Fall 2016

Published

Hello all!

Ive just applied to the nursing program at TCU for the fall of 2016. I was just wondering if anyone else is looking for a forum to communicate with others that are in the same boat. A little information about myself: I am a current student at TCU that just transferred from Weatherford College. I have 3 more prerequisites to complete before nursing school starts. My overall GPA Is a 3.3 and I have received an A in both A&P courses, B in Microbiology, B in nutrition, and an A in Intro to psychology. I am scheduled to take the HESI A2 test on January 13th, in which I will have to update my NursingCAS afterwards. Also, I am a 4 year Army veteran and a current member of the reserve component as a Medic. I hold a EMT license as well.

Hopefully my chances are good lol. I'm looking to hear from many of you!

I hope so they mail the letters out April 1st I'm hoping those aren't rejection letters seems every one got theirs but me

@rainsym

I called the office today and the receptionist said that another round of letters will be sent out April 1st, so there is still time :)

I called too I am hoping those are acceptance letters as well! Please let me know if you got in too when you get yours!

I have applied to the traditional track program, I am currently an LVN at JPS and hope that helps me some. I have been an LVN for 4 years. My GPA is not great 3.2 I think, I did pretty well on the HESI exam. The wait is the worst!! Hurry up and get here April!

Hey! Have you received your letter yet?

So can anyone tell me how they choose their applicants? Like many programs use a points system others utilize your gpa and entrance test scores....just wondering if there's anything I can do to improve my chance next app period

Specializes in Cardiothoracic and Transplant ICU.

They look at GPA and your HESI (heavily on the math and reading comprehension portions)

Specializes in Cardiothoracic and Transplant ICU.

If you are an accelerated applicant they also look at your science GPA (A&P1, A&P2, Microbiology, and Elementary Statistics)

Are you a traditional or accelerated applicant?

@rainsym have you called to ask if those second round letters are rejection letters? I tried to ask the receptionist and got transferred to a voicemail.

Hi new romantics, I have no idea I was just asking because so far everyone got accepted that I know. I'm sure I'm wrong we will find out in a few days. I hope we got accepted.

Are you a traditional or accelerated applicant?

I will be a traditional transfer applicant

Did you apply for fall 2016?
