So... How many of the class with be going to baton rouge with me for clinicals?
Good luck to you all, I just graduated last Dec. from TCU and thought it a good program. I have been working for 4 months now and really enjoying life without the books. Again good luck to you guys and enjoy your freedom this summer, don't worry about studying until you get there and most important don't ever give up on your dream. GC CRNA
Hey guys! Heading from Lubbock to Fort Worth this fall and can't wait! Very real now that I have also taken out a butt load in loans - about 30k total in order to cover both tuition/apartment/living. And my clinicals will be in Tulsa since Lubbock shut it's doors to us . Have a super summer everyone and can't wait to meet all of you.
So what will we be doing at this dinner on the 21st? My head hurts when I start thinking about the hours i'll be reading every night
Kay said that it's just a getting to know everyone and their significant others. She said that we will have other get-togethers during year such as tail-gating parties at the TCU games, etc. She likes to try to build a personal relationship among the students and their families, etc. I guess it's good so that our SO's can get to know one another & cry on each others shoulders when the going gets rough!!! The way she talked during my interview made me feel that they are really concerned about our whole families and how the program will affect everyone. It was really cool.
The sacrifices have offially begun! I bought my car, a Trans Am, the last year they were made. Beautiful midnight blue, t-top, etc. However, the miles were racking up on it & I finally caved and bought a new car for school. For the very first time in my life I didn't buy a sports car, but rather something with great gas mileage, practical and roomy. Believe me when I say I had separation anxiety when they took the keys for the Trans Am from me! I am enjoying the new car, and just tell myself each day that when I graduate I can buy another sports car. Everyone who knows me was in awe because they knew that I practically thought of my Trans Am as a family member! Oh the sacrifices we make.......

cfarley,
I'm also not from TX, will take out the full Stafford Loans, a Wells Fargo PLUS loan of 28K+ some and $10,000 in private loans from Wells Fargo to help get me through my move out to Fort Worth, and in case my other loans don't come through in time. I hear ya though. Taking out that much money is no fun, but I'm not going to worry about it, because it WILL pay off--and then some in just a few short years!!!
