Hello everyone! I have submitted my application for TCU's Accelerated BSN program. I am getting ready to take the HESI A2 next week and my file will be 100% complete. I have been checking allnurses.com frequently to see if there are any other TCU 2012 hopefuls, but haven't come across anyone yet! Are you out there?? If so, lets start talking!! :)
A little about me...I have been working as a medical sales representative for close to 10 years. I have worked in pharma, device, disposables, biotech, services, and specialty pharmacy. Throughout the years, my love for the medical industry has only increased until one day I decided to take the plunge and start my pre-requisites. Now with them completed, I am looking into TCU (first choice), El Centro (2nd choice, only have one additional pre-req to take) and UTA (still have 6, yes, 6 pre-requisites to take and doubtful I will be able to apply by for the Fall 2012 start class, perhaps the spring 2013). I live in Lantana (outside of Flower Mound) so I will be commuting each day to the school I get accepted to (fingers crossed).
And the wait continues...I don't know how the rest of you are feeling, but January seems to be going by ever so slowly.The end of Feb seems so far away. Last I heard, the board meets at the end of this month. Anyone have additional updates or news??
I feel ya, JAMSALEStoRN. January is going by painfully slow, I'm getting seriously nervous and impatient. Haha. I haven't heard anything differently than you, so I guess we're just counting down until the end of February. Yay...
Thank you for letting us know! I have already been stalking the mailman, even though I knew last year's class didn't get their letters until the end of February...Haha. Now I'll be stalking him even more! So nervous! Hope you're doing well and making it through school okay. :)
I also applied for May 2012. I'm currently taking my last few courses( speech, dev.psych, and religion). Thought I'd see if there was any word on acceptance letters yet. Looks like we are all in the same boat! I'll be checking the mail everyday from now on! =P Good luck everyone!
FYI, I called last week on Thursday evening and spoke with *******. If you call in, she will tell you if you will be offered a seat!!! :). This is different than in years past where they would not give confirmation over the phone!!Letters are set to go out next week. I believe ******* is on vacation Mon-Wed of this week and I'm uncertain if anyone else in the office has "authorization" to release the info.Best of luck to each of you! BTW....I GOT IN!!! And I am beyond ecstatic!! I was totally speechless and bawled like a baby!! Can't wait to meet all my fellow classmates soon!! :)
Congratulations (!!!!!!) and serious thanks for the head's up about calling! I called and spoke to ******* earlier this afternoon and I got in too! Can't wait to get started and meet everyone else in the program! :)

I'm having to force myself not to go out and buy nursing stuff (scrubs, stethoscope, etc.), but I'm just super excited. Now to find a place to do provider level CPR. I looked it up sometime ago, but now need to research it again. Also need to get tigers drawn!! I really wish I could fast forward to May. I'm so eager to get started!!
