TCC Spring 2016 Applicants

Published

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for those who are planning to apply to TCC this summer for Spring 2016. I will be applying with one A and two B's. I'm getting ready for my HESI test and I hope to get a good score. For those who have applied before, has anyone ever been accepted with one A.? I'm hopeful and also nervous. So let's get the ball rolling, and help encourage each other.

Not at all. I'm actually in online classes right now and have been in the past. I can't imagine not being in the classroom for nursing. I look at when I did paramedic school and I would never even dream of doin that hybrid.

I do get the whole work more thing though.

I opted out of hybrid. I'm in online classes now, and feel the procrastination sneaking up. I also love the classroom environment, and the instant feedback from the professor and other students. I think hybrid would be a good option for those who have time constraints (family, work, etc) or those who really, really thrive in the online environment. I don't fit into either of those, so on campus for me!

I just know I was told to avoid the hybrid classes. On top of that, I LOVE being in class. I love school. Right now I sort of feel like I'll be in school forever which is aggravating XD But still, I love it. I'm good at it. Motivating myself to get things done online has proven to be harder in the past for me, so I'm just going to save myself the hassle :p

I chose hybrid.. Lol.. Great now I'm scared. But I like to be focused and work ahead. Hum maybe I'll still get the option to be in class. In my A&P I took a hybird class cuz I had a new born at home and just went in for labs and tests.. I got an A. Yea teas was wayyyy harder than the hesi.. Passing score for teas was 61%. I got an 89 on my teas. I got accepted at an alternate at Weatherford, but looks like I can decline since in be at TCC! In still waiting on Collin to accept or deny me.. Which really doesn't matter but still would like to get an acceptance from them.

@Blindsayyyy how many points did you have for weatherford's application? If I don't retake anything I have around 28 before the TEAS.

I think in the WC thread she had 29 and another person was an alternate with 29 as well.

I had 29 :) kinda low but WC point system is hard!

Thank you :) I'm going to try there because even with 28/29 points before I take the TEAS, I should have a shot even if I perform mediocre on the TEAS since that would bring me to 34/36 Pts. I'm starting to feel optimistic. I already scheduled my retake on the HESI for Jan so I can meet El Centro's deadline. I'm interested in Brookhaven but I have to take pharm and patho but luckily they use the same version of the Hesi as El Centro.

Did you all get a confirmation that your acceptance form was received??

I didn't get confirmation. Did u?

I didn't get one either... Hummmm. You would think they would say hey, I got it.. Lol perhaps they will send a it with another email with more info about the next step?
