TCC Spring 2016 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for those who are planning to apply to TCC this summer for Spring 2016. I will be applying with one A and two B's. I'm getting ready for my HESI test and I hope to get a good score. For those who have applied before, has anyone ever been accepted with one A.? I'm hopeful and also nervous. So let's get the ball rolling, and help encourage each other.

Cool! Accept me.

I live in GP, I know yall are probably from Ft worth and Arlington. I'm down to go wherever!

@wildearth- I don't have fb but once y'all figure out the celebration day and time send me a private message on here. Thanks!! And congrats: )

I set up CPR for 09/24 @ 930a-1130a in Hurst for $45.00. Its the specific CPR class needed for nursing.

Anyone interested??

Just has to be American heart.. Mine won't expire for another 1 or so

Its American Heart

3.3 and 91 on the hesi, im an alternate, anybody have any ideas on likelihood of getting a spot as an alternate. Also, im assuming it was my GPA that wasn't up to par, should i retake the 2 classes i got b's in for an A, or retake the HESI, or both?

Retake the classes.. Or at least one... I got a 89.5 hesi with a 4.0.

But hopefully you still get in.. Maybe other get into UTA like the previous semesters!

@tsjla- I have heard that a lot of alternates get it but I would hate to get your hopes up then disappoint you. I would retake your b's. One in spring and one in summer. You could apply in spring and if you don't get in you take the summer class. I got in with a 4.0 and 91% hesi

@TSJLA87 I would call the office Monday and see if they can let you know where you rank as an alternate and how they notify alternates. Some one at the beginning of this thread was an alternate for fall 2015 with a 3.3 and "A" Hesi and they got called up in July.

I inquired via email about my application and was told to repeat one class or to retake the Hesi. I cannot repeat any classes but my goal is to score above a 94 on the Hesi. I took it last spring and got an 81 and again this August and got an 88.5 so I'm positive I can pull off a high score if I start studying. (I really didn't study much the other two times and the first was after giving birth 2 weeks before) I'm also looking at some other schools that take the Hesi and may also allow me to repeat any classes. I wish you all best of luck! Maybe I will see you around THR!

Thanks for the replies, hopefully i can get in as an alternate :)

If any of you guys find out more about the stats on the applicant pool, please share on here. It's nice to know so I know where to focus on for the next cycle :)

@jennyfever what were your grades in the science classes?
