TCC Spring 2016 Applicants

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for those who are planning to apply to TCC this summer for Spring 2016. I will be applying with one A and two B's. I'm getting ready for my HESI test and I hope to get a good score. For those who have applied before, has anyone ever been accepted with one A.? I'm hopeful and also nervous. So let's get the ball rolling, and help encourage each other.

Just thought I'd let you know some information I got from the nursing department. There is a CPR class offered through continuing education in web advisor for cpr and it's $38 and is what we need to take. I am signed up for it. Someone join me :-) Also, Ms. Altman told me that orientation is almost always the first week of December and she said we won't know which summer session we will have until mid spring. I had lots of questions so hopefully this answers some for you too.

She mention anything about when we get our paperwork to start physicals, drug tests, and background check?

I thought class was street clothes? I can see where skills lab might be scrubs though... I guess we'll find out! I'm not buying anything quite yet anyways. :)

Talked to someone in the program. Street clothes to class. She said to expect our schedules mid-October. She also said drug screen is a week before class and the background test is to be done over winter break.

Is it just me or does it seem like there are a lot less people on this board and in our facebook group than in previous semesters? I wonder if the group is going to be smaller this next semester.

It does seem like there's so few of us! Maybe people are waiting for more information. I'm sure as more info comes in, there will be more questions, topics of discussion, etc. I kind of dig our small group though. :)

I doubt there is a few. There is prob like 100-150. If not everyone one this thread would have made it in.

Our cohort just might not be nearly as interested as being involved, which is a little depressing. Haha. I guess we'll see when spring rolls around ~

@wildearth- I'll ask questions if u want hahaha lol. Any idea how much a semester of just tution will cost? Not books and etc.

It's $55 per hour and out first semester is only 9 hours and then 8 hours after that I believe except mental is 4 total. I've heard great things about TCC but the super cheap price is what had me hooked! Now books and supplies is what will cost more than the classes from what I've heard.

@Valentine- that's awesome!! Thanks. So does that mean summer (mental) is part time? Kinda a little break from the program? Probably still have clinical though right?
