TCC Spring 2015 Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

I am planning on applying to TCC for their nursing program in the spring of 2015. I still have to take all of my science pre-requisites this summer and fall. I would love input on which teachers to take for those classes, which two classes would be the best to take together, tips for the HESI or any other helpful info. Look forward to hearing from others!

the lowest gpa I saw was 3.5. Not sure on the HESI. TCC has a presentation that lists the stats for the Spring semester of this year.

I'm sorry I wasn't very clear in my question, I meant acceptance points? I have 17 now and will probably have 18 in my application when I apply.

TCC doesn't go by any point system that they make us aware of. What I have heard that they factor half your science GPA and half your HESI and come up with some magic number. Academic advisors have told me have a higher science GPA and HESI .

I'm applying for Spring also. I just finished up all my science courses. I have a 4.0 in my sciences and an 88 on the hesi.

I'm also thinking about retaking the hesi to increase my score. I would like to get it up in the 90s.

I've seen people get accepted with those scores. You can retest though.

How hard is the grammar section of the Hesi? The online practice test I thought was easy but I'm looking through the hesi study book and it's way more in detail.

It's not bad. I studied the evolve study book on it and if I remember correctly it was pretty much like that.

Hi all, I plan on applying in spring for the fall 2015 program. I am taking Micro and Chem this fall...how tough is it to take both at the same time?

I took a&p 2 and micro at the same time and it wasn't bad. I made A's in both classes. :) hope this helps!

hey! I was just wondering if anyone who's already been accepted to the program could tell me a little about how they do the first semester schedule. I am applying for spring and she told me that for the first semester you don't get to choose your schedule.

Hi!

I am in the Fall 2014 class and you do NOT get to choose your schedule for the first semester. You can switch with another student if they are willing and want what you've got. I have T/TH Theory, T Skills, Wed Clinical. I am lucky enough to like my schedule though I did not get the hybrid lecture that I wanted but that may be a blessing.

Ok. I'm applying next month and I have two babies so I'm trying to kinda plan for childcare. Are they all morning classes for the class part or is it a mix? I know clinical is all day.
