I have not seen a thread yet so I thought I would get one going for those applying for this Spring.
@texasgal
I believe they only will take the higher cumulative score out of the two tests.
I took my HESI yesterday, and made a 94.5. I did really well on each section, but I noticed that on the score report the reading section was broken down into further sections (conclusions, understanding...). I made a 94 overall on the reading portion, but in the subsection labeled "conclusions" I received a 66.67. In every other subsection, I had high A's which averaged out my reading score to a 94. Do you think the subsections will be considered, or just the overall score? I would hate to have to retake the entire test, for one section.
@PJE22Every reference to the HESI test in the application process thus far has mentioned only the 4 major sections - nothing has been mentioned regarding the subsections. The last page of the application also divides the HESI in this format, causing me to believe that the subsection scores are not heavily weighed. However, this is only my opinion...
I turned in my application this week and each catagory had a grade like reading 98% but the sub-scores under each catagory were not listed. I have a 3.5 and made a 97% on the Hesi. My advisor said she couldn't guarentee anything but that the average GPA getting in last semester was between 3.5-4.0. Hopefully my Hesi score will put me at the top of the 3.5's! Crossing my fingers!

I am taking my HESI tomorrow morning. I have been studying for it for quite a while. I feel prepared. It is annoying however, about the vocabulary section. Just going to try to enjoy these next couple months until applications come back. Remember, everything happens for a reason. Things happen no early or later than they are suppose to in life. I hope everyone applying that really wants this gets in! Everyone seems to have very competitive grades on both GPA and HESI, so it is going to be close!!!
Best wishes to everyone...
