After you take the test you can log into the evolve reach site and it will show you your scores and the class average.

hey guys! only a few more days until i take my HESI! exccittinnggg! =) then it's over!!!

here are a few last minute questions for the you guys that have taken it, i want to make sure im studying all of the correct/required things.

is the calculator for the math portion available throughout the whole portion? or only on select questions? are they all multiple choice questions?

also, did they ask you any questions about any length, distance, or weight conversions?? or was it mainly volume/liquid conversions?

are the conversions EXACT? or can you get something close to the correct answer and pick it out?

are the vocab and reading comprehension sections just like in the book? or a little different?

and can we chew gum?? lol:lol2:

Can I just say that I'm super excited just for October 1 to get here. When I submitted my application the counselor said that from the first time I went to meet with him (on Sept 7) to when I turned in my app (Sept 19) that over 100 people had submitted their applications. I am ready for people to stop turning in those applications!

Also, I haven't read everything on this feed yet, but I just want to tell y'all what the counselor told me: there will be 100 people accepted from non-JPS applicants and then about 15(can't remember the number) of people accepted from JPS.

that really puts the pressure on!

Just 100 huh. Makes me wonder what they do with people that fail the first semester. What do they do with them? Do they come out of our 100? Just think, about 300 people will not get.accepted. that is a massive amount of people. STRESS. I can't wait for this all to be over.

Ugh!!!

This is how I rationalize it to myself (I have to do that, um, daily!): I do not think that the full 455 that could apply, did. So let's say only 400 did, or maybe just a little less. So that makes our chances, what, 1:4? The odds could be worse. Everyone on here has great HESI scores and great GPAs, and I know a few people that were planning to apply that had really awful GPAs. So I believe we're the upperclass. :-)

I try not to psych myself out over the whole thing. Positive thinking! If I don't get into the program in January I don't know what I'll do, so therefore I have to believe that I WILL get in. Ugh, this is making me sick to my stomach. :-/

Ladies and Gentleman, I don't know about y'all, but I am ON EDGE!!! Sometimes I am calm and go about living life and other times when I think about what it has taken to get to this point and that im right on the edge of being able to acheive my LONG TIME goal of nursing school....well, it's exciting and nerve wracking.

Also, out of curiosity, when we took the hesi, we also took a learning style and personality test as well. My learning style is kinestetic/global(right on the money) and my personality is calm/leader(haha, shows what they know!). Anyone care to share what their learning style and personality style and if you think the test was correct? Just for fun.

Hello everyone, I was in your shoes last application period. I'm in my fifth week of nursing school. It is amazing, challenging, stressful, overwhelming, fun, and a whole bunch of other words balled up into one. I just passed the dosage calculation test today so I'm on cloud nine. Days like this definitely offsets all the lost sleep, extreme anxiety, and everything else that we feel along with it. It makes it all worth it. Anyway, I came here to tell you all not to stress out too much. I know it is easier said than done but it seems that you all have great scores and GPA's and everyone has an even chance of getting in. Out of our group last application period, I believe we only had one person not get accepted. To answer your question about the ones' who are readmitted who don't pass their first semester, everyone one is ranked together. Those who fail don't automatically get a spot, they still have to be readmitted into the next class. So, don't freak out, don't listen to rumors, try to stay positive. As one of my teachers says,"What you say, is what you hear and what you hear is what your mind does" So, think positive all the time. You will all get in. Good Luck!

@cross- I know how you feel, after I read that, I was like eerrrr......

That's how I came up to think about it, even IF 450 people did apply, I assumed they were going to take 20-25% of the applicants, which i think is quite a few, and is heck of a lot more than 10%! And even if 455 people apply, or 300 or whatever, I know a majority of the other applicants are applying to other schools as well, and TCC could be their "back-up" plan also. So there is going to be the 100 or however many they take, and then "alternates". No, 100 does not seem like much, but if you take in to consideration other factors, it seems like quite a bit. There are probably going to be other factors that decide our acceptance excluding our GPA and HESI score.

I know that we are ALL stressed out even more over what someone says, but Loly82 is right, we should just keep our heads high, fingers crossed, and hope/pray for the best. Believe that we will all get in. Like you guys told me before, the advisor is NOT part of the selection committee, they are there to help US, NOT decide our fate.

My boyfriend tells me "believe in yourself, sometimes they say things just to psych you out." Yeah, hundreds have turned in their applications, but that's them, not you.

I think everyone in our AN group is more that qualified to get in to the program. :up:Don't worry about anything or anyone unless it comes straight from the BON's mouth, so until those envelopes come in the mail, as far as we know, we are all in.

Hello everybody!

I took my HESI last week and got a 94.5. It looks like everybody here on AN has done very well on the HESI so far, which is awesome!!! I can't wait till December when we ALL find out that we made it in! :p

Mine said that my learning style was "Kinesthetic/Analytical" and my personality style was "Creative/Leader". For me I think that's dead on! LOL OCD Virgo over here, which although has served me fairly well in my 27 years, I am slightly more concerned about my perfectionist tendencies in nursing school. :lol2:

Mine was kinesthetic/global creative/leader. Not sure about the creative, but agree with the rest.
