I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.
hey guys! only a few more days until i take my HESI! exccittinnggg! =) then it's over!!!and can we chew gum?? lol:lol2:
PM me!
txhusker, I will be chewing gum like a madman! Are you taking your test Thursday afternoon, by chance? If so, I'll see you there! Does anyone know if we are allowed to skip a question and come back to it later, or are we required to submit the answer immediately?
Cool, thanks guys. I am really putting the pressure on myself on Thursday. I've got to turn in my application before I take the exam that day. Plus figure out parking....gonna give myself a full 2 hours to make sure I'm not late to the test.
They did say to show up 15 min early for the test, I believe.
Nervousness has really kicked in this week. I have a 3.75 in my bio classes. I really hope that B in A&P I doesn't come back to bite me in the orifice.
@jefe-
well, the others have told me that when you turn in your application after the exam, they tell you to go see an advisor before you turn it in so your paperwork is complete and inline. They make copies of everything and stuff. I would really take that in to consideration. I plan to show up atleast an hour to 45 min early anyway, which is what I usually do, with my over the top fear of being late for everything lol.
AND i just called about parking, they are going to make us park in over flow which is off Henderson and Peach & Mill St. [about 3 blocks away] The officer says that they are REALLY packed on thursday's, so im just gonna have someone drop me off and pick me up.
I also have a B in A&P I, dont worry about it too much, focus on the exam for now and we can worry about that stuff later lol.
Hello everyone! I have been following the Fall 2011 class and found this one. Congratulations to everyone ....... Great Hesi scores and gpa!! Mine appears to be the lowest among this group but still above average. 90% on Hesi (bombed the vocab portion), 3.5 Gpa, kinesthetic/global, and creative/leader. Its nice to have a support group that can relate to our emotional roller coaster. :)
Hi everyone!
It looks like I'm going to have to double up on my sciences for the next 2 semesters in order to keep up with my own self imposed timeline for applying to the TCC Nursing program. I have to retake Chem because I chose not to take the lab years ago when I went to another school. So now I've got Spring & Fall to get all 4 done. Any recommendations on which class I should pair with A&PI?
microbiology and a&p I go hand in hand, literally and depending on the professor, they cover the almost the same material, especially when covering DNA transcription/replication, amino acids, and nucleotides, well excluding the bacteria in micro lol, but i found micro to be easy, but it was my favorite class.. if you need help, let me know =)
a&p II with chem after, a&p II is pretty extensive as far as depth of material so i found it easier to pair it with chemistry which is a lot of calculations, but nothing difficult. but thats just my two cents.
hopefulmender, BSN

Loly82- Thank you for quelling our fears! I'm trying my darndest to take this time and relax before we find out our results but I seem to have this little voice in the back of my head saying, "big white envelope? little envelope? big white envelope?" haha
NikiSegs311- awesome score!
According to the HESI my learning style is cognitive/global, and my personality profile is creative/people. I'm not sure if this describes me to a "T," but it is pretty close!
