Published

I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

yeah, chapter 16 was kind of a snoozer.. ch. 32 and 33 are okay, pretty informative, It teaches you how to do basic care needs for patients.

I thought that for the first week we needed to have read chapter 16 and 17 right? For the second 42 and 10? Chapter 32 is not until after the first test... I just want to make sure I'm in the right track. I don't want to get too ahead in my reading bc I don't want to forget, or at least not until I take the first test I want to read for the second.

My little handout says if your first day is clinical to read ch 32 & 33 in fundamentals. So I think it depends on where you start that Tuesday.

@cross- i dont think it does, or atleast mine didnt come with it.. i dont think we need one for it.

is anyone else using a Mac? I remember them telling us that the online components may not be compatible with Apple, i have a Macbook Pro, and i REALLY do not want to convert back to a PC... what do you guys think?

@txhusker I am in the same situation. I really hope that isn't the case.

I run a regular ol' Dell laptop, but I'm going to use my iPad for the e-text. I'm not sure how to do that yet though. LOL I do know that if there is anything with Flash I won't be able to run it.

yes the iPad will not run flash but the Mac Pro does. I am using a iPad also for my ebooks but not sure if I like it. the format is not the same as the actual book. but I do intend on using it for note taking. I found a really cool app call Notability it enables you to put the powerpoints right into it and take notes right on top of them really cool!! and you can record within it as well and when you write a note you can go back to that note and tap on it and it will replay what was recorded at that specific time you took the note. oh and you can type or use a stylus and it is pretty close to writing on reg paper.

I'm definitely going to have to look into that! My brother-in-law has an app that simulates running Microsoft Office on his which he uses for school as well. Also going to purchase the little keyboard that goes along with it. Since I bought the actual books too I think it'll be less back-breaking than carrying them all around.
