I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

I *think* that is the case, however my classes still don't show to have been paid by my FA so I'm hopeful that I actually see that disbursement tomorrow! LOL

What a nightmare. I called K in the nursing department and she said the didn't petition me b/c they did not have a schedule for me! If some of your remember from orientation, I was not on any of the schedules and SH penciled me in b/c someone was on there twice. I guess that information was not saved b/c K just gave me a totally different schedule with the hybrid course! Which is fine ( it will have to be) but I had already made arrangements with work. And now I cannot register until the SmarterMeasures assessment for Distance LEarning is approved which could take up to 24 hours!!! AAAAHH!!!! I have already called the DL center and emailed the director and have yet to hear anything! And to think I called the nursing dept the day after orientation to ensure that my schedule was what it was and never heard anything back !!

I called today and they told me since I registered today they wont pay the classes until tomorrow and that money should get there on Friday but since you registered yesterday maybe you will get it with everyone else

Yeah!!! finally got registered. How stressful this all is. If registering is this stressful I can only imagine how the next 4 mths are going to be like. Well glad to finally be official!!! Good luck to all those still waiting.

Manow - that's what happened with txhusker and me too. We got the confirmation that we switched schedules on 12/12 but for some reason I just decided to check yesterday and sure enough it wasn't done. At least they got you straightened out and I wonder how many people ran into this issue?

What a pain! I think rossy said something about that too. I'm glad that you guys finally got registered though.

I am checking my email every 30 seconds because I am still waiting to hear back from the DL center. I cannot register until they clear me. What if she doesn't email me back tonight? They have already rolled the phones in the nursing dept so I cannot get in touch with anyone!

Well I just talked to FA (again) to verify that my classes were paid for and I would get my disbursement tomorrow but that is NOT the case. They will apply FA to classes tomorrow and we'll get our money Thursday or Friday at the latest. If we had already been registered we would have gotten our money tomorrow. So long as I have it by Friday I'm fine but sheesh. I think TCC may need a focus group on this issue so that the next round of students doesn't have the same issues we've been having.

At last, I am able to register for class. I have to call and talk to SH and she emails to registrar because they block my register due to the math requirement. The registrar office have to override it.

sounds like everyone is registered now. Has anyone finished reading? I still have to read for skills and look over the CID, and as soon as my FA comes I'm gonna pick up the rest of the things we need, so hopefully that happens this week.Less than a week away guys!!! :DAnd welcome to the new peeps on the board!!

I just made my reading to-do list and as soon as I can get the kiddo distracted I'm going to start. Also printed out the student handbook, which I had to do in color because I'm nearly out of ink so it starts out in the correct color and ends in a pretty red/purple. LOL At least it appears that some of the reading overlaps so that is nice.

Also making a shopping list for Friday so I can get everything out of the way. With being gone all day Saturday that really only leaves Friday, Sunday and Monday. Yikes.

My classes have been added to campus cruiser. I didn't have a schedule so I didn't know who will be taking classes with me, so far only Ruth :) I will be going over DA tonight. I bought a book for 5$ that has helped me a lot (Dimensional Analysis for Meds 2ns ed). The reading for skills is realllllyyyy redundant, and fundamental is kind of boring, at least chapter 16, chapter 1 is ok. Im just ready to start putting catheters left and right... umm of course I'm kidding about that!
