I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

friday the 2nd? orientation is 8:30-4:30 or something like that, I think all we need done is our background check, and pay for our skills kit so we can pick it up the day of orientation..

I had to keep calling Shardee on my acceptance letter. It took awhile. It was tricky!! If you are working from a MAC it won't work. I had to do it from a PC. Hope you get it figured out. Glad for those that are finding out acceptance!!! I am getting so excited but anxious at the same time!! see all friday at the coffee shop

Hey all!! Congrats to everyone who got their letters recently!! :nurse:

I've been quietly stalking for the last week as I spent it with my husband in North Hills. Got to know a few nurses and the lay of the land, which is good because I'm fairly certain that's where I'll do clinicals. His ER nurse was amazing and hilarious and it was nice to get to chat with her for several hours. :-)

I'm very anxious to meet everyone on Friday. I plan on leaving my house around 6:45am to get down there by 7:30am - I only live 7mi north of downtown but I don't know how traffic is at that time of day. I'm also excited that it said we'd get to go over to the campus to pick up our skills kit after orientation! :-)

The only thing I really have left to do is scrubs, steth, shoes, drug test and books. I can't really do any of that though until my FA drops so that doesn't leave much time. I remember reading on the fall boards that there was a place you could pick up the book package . . . do they still have that, and if so does anyone know where it is??

Sorry to ramble just trying to catch up! LOL

I've heard that you can order the package and pick it up at the bookstore? but I'm not too sure...

I still need to order my books also, I want to do it soon but my pockets are emptying with the holidays. I just want to get them so I have time to read the required chapters.

I was born at North Hills hospital, it would be interesting.to see what it looks like now lol.

I'm really excited for orientation too! and we get to go to TRE campus! awesome! I might get "lost" so I do a smidge of exploring! lol or not..

Hey guys I just wanted to remind you that the scrubs sale starts tomorrow and will be going on for the next two weeks... They sell stets & shoes too! I will be there tomorrow bc I can't wait to have my uniforms!!! Oh by the way, Me and my friend Tina will be joining you guys at the coffee shop on Friday. Who is paying for the coffee, Student123 or Txhusker? :p

Duh! I forgot to mention that the sale is at Dorothy's scrubs etc.

Rossy- I thought whoever was paying for coffee was the one who had the full time.job? So that means student right? LOL jk! :)

Thanks for the reminder. Let us know what kind of sales they are having percent gave wise. I already bought my scrubs but it wouldn't hurt to have more! Lol. I'm in the process of moving right now so I wont be able to get out there until next week or so, boo! and those shoes look comfy! let me know how they feel if you try some on.

and I don't see a problem with the shoes. they're white and cover the entire foot like they want them to be.
