Tarrant County College ranking system

U.S.A. Utah

Published

Hey everyone! Does anyone know what the actual system is to rank applicants to the TCC nursing program? I know the generalities, but would like to get a hold of the actual breakdown - how many points you get for GPA, TEAS score, etc.

I am a transfer student still working on my pre-req's, but my previous school (Austin Comm. College) published their point system on their webpage.

I will be applying in September 2009, have a 4.0 in all of my sciences and most of my other classes (I have one B in speech), and will get bonus points for my pharmacology class I took in Austin. Obviously, haven't taken TEAS yet.

If anyone knows the breakdown of points, I'd love to know what it is!

SoonToBRN1980,

Does TCC have an end of Life Issues class, and if so, can you help me figure out where I can find it on their website and its class #? I'm lost!!!

Thank you,

KaseyP. :)

@KaseyP, I couldnt find that TCC offers End of Life Issues, but they offer the Pathophysiology, which is full for the fall semester!! Believe me I understand your frustration. I am hoping they offer something else in the Wintermester, cross your fingers. I will keep you posted, if I find anything that can help us both.

Keep tha Faith!! :0)

@KaseyP what school do you attend at the moment? Those are the only other schools( TCC,El Centro, Brookhaven, Mt View, Northlake, if you live near Ft worth you could try Weatherford college). Those are the only ones I can think of. I attend UTA now, but the school Im applying to(Midwestern State University) doesnt need those as pre reqs. I would have applied to TCC, but I would have needed to have Microbiology completed, Im enrolled in it this fall. I'm nervous too!!!! If not Spring 2010 then Fall 2010 is a MUST!!!

Sorry I didn't reply to all of you sooner; I've had a little accident!! (Tendonitis, and it's painful!!!) In answer to your question,I'm currently living in Denton, but I attend Brookhaven College most of the time. I too, am hoping that Nursing Patho and End of Life is offered in Wintermester!!! I'm sick of waiting to apply because of these two classes!
