So I think we are well into the application period so, surely it is time to start up this board. I can not wait until we hear back in May. Trying to keep very busy while waiting. Good luck to everyone applying!! Hopefully we can keep each other company here and celebrate our successes!!

On another note has anyone taken he CPR for health professionals class yet? I see it has to be AHA or red cross. I'm trying to figure out the best place to take it. I would like to get it done before my kids are out of school for the summer. It also gives me something to focus on while waiting!!

Caitlyn you can search locations that offer CPR classes on American Heart Association's website. I also found if you go to Web Advisor and look under continuing education under EMSP you can find the scheduled classes that TCC offers.

I've always gone through AHA. If you go to their website, you can sign up to do the written portion online and then schedule the hands-on part at a facility of your choice. I've done mine through Cook Children's the last couple times and was very impressed with their new CPR/Life Saving Skills lab. I think it was about $90 for the whole thing. Going through TCC is probably a good option and might be less expensive.

@ caitlyn i am the same way with my email! everytime I see there is a new one my heart stops! I feel as though I have developed some sort of addiction to checking mine!! Hopefully it wont be too much longer.

I definitely have an addiction to checking my email... lol I just have a fear that if I don't constantly check, then *the* email could be sitting there for days waiting for me to see it! lol

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but I called TCC today and they said they will be sending out notifications at the beginning of MAY.

I've called them several times and heard everything from the second week of April to mid-May. I'm not sure anyone knows for sure. Or, I wish I knew who the person is that has a more definitive answer. I would call them for sure. I'm still hoping earlier but, realistically know May, maybe even June, not wanting that though!! Power of positive thinking lol. :-)

I feel like I did when I was waiting for a plus sign on a pregnancy test, except for that test only took 5 minutes:0). I can't believe I m comparing this to that but, it is the same sense of excitement!!It would make for wonderful Easter news if we found out today. Come on TCC!! Wouldn't it be nice to come back from Easter weekend and already have this done, notices sent. That would make for a nice week returning from the holiday. (Just in case they're reading, lol...)

What's killing me is all the new stuff I am coming up to worry about while we are waiting! Like, what if they lost my app?? What if I forgot something so they deem my app incomplete, etc! I am going to register for 2 of the last 3 classes for sum I that I need to do a bsn bridge @ TWU or UTA after my ASN program. Figured I would knock those out so I only have stats to finish before I apply. I am trying to focus on summer 1 and hoping to get both classes online - otherwise I can't go since I have littles at home!

Gosh, I need to calm down but Caitlyn, it really is like waiting for the plus sign for 6 weeks! I am praying it is this week!! PLEASE! Wishing the best of luck for all of us on here!
